The Yakima Indian Nation RV Park in Toppenish, about 1/2 hour from Yakima is nice, especially if you park in the new section. That is the side that has cable. Nice grassy area and good pads. However it can be very windy there at times. But then again the entire Yakima Valley gets a lot of wind.

Wine Country RV Park in Prosser, another 15 minutes down the road is a newer park and is very nice.

I would not recommend Yakima KOA right now. Major road construction going on right at their front door. I've heard nice things about the Yakama Nation RV park.

I agree. Stay away from the KOA. Much construction. Yakima Nation RV Park is nice, but it's about 15 or 16 miles south of Yakima. There's a nice park on Hiway 12 next to the Suntides Golf Course near the small town of Gleed, just a few miles out of Yakima.

We like to stay at Suntides R.V. Park. It is just on the outskirts of town and is nice and quiet and very clean. You take Hiway 12 as if you were going to go to Naches. The address is 201 Pence Rd., Phone is (509) 966-7883. Sorry, I don't have a web-site or toll-free number for it. It is a fairly new park with mostly pull-throughs, all paved. It is right next to Suntides Golf Course.

I stayed in the Yakima Sportsman State Park this spring and it was OK. I didn't have any complaints.
