Hey Guys and Gals, Our Baaaaaack thing didn`t last too long, huh. Well the summer was too hot and then July 14 Gwen showed up with a case of colon cancer and hasn`t been home since, so all the trips that I made for the last six months were to the hospital. Never did get the MH repaired, so I did not have a way to stay close, she is only six miles away though. The food is way bad so I have to carry stuff that I cook and then once in a while a Sonic burger and lots of milkshakes.
Sometime shortly after my baaack post our homephone line went really bad so I got a Verizon home connect which is a wireless cell thingy that the corded phone hooks into--but--the thing only does voice, no computer data or alarm or fax, so no internet. Yesterday I got online with Tmobile usb stick and spent until 3am reading all of the missed Tioga George blogs.

more later, Warren eieio and the wander dog

Sorry to hear about Gwen's cancer. My brother in law was just diagnosed with colon cancer, we don't know how bad yet.

May god be with you in your difficult times.

Scott

Warren, We are so really sorry to hear about Gwen. Please send her our love and support. Really glad you got back on line so you could share. Life is never a given so you really don't know what the next second holds, let alone the next minute or hour. Hang in there buddy.

We are in FT Stockton, TX at the moment, enroute to Phoenix, Quartsite and places out in the desert to be determined. Will be thinking of you all and checking Irv2 for more updates.

Gwen is home!!!!! I think that is going to go a long way in her healing.
Now we have to figure a way to get around in the house with two wheelchairs.
Did you ever see anyone on crutches push a wheelchair? Kinda jerky. Spook the wander dog is ecstatic and won`t leave her alone, well unless someone has popcorn hahahaha. We have been blessed with this short sleeve weather, don`t know what I would have done if there had been snow on the ground!

Thanks for your kind thoughts, that means a lot to know you care, just wish we could get together around some smoke.

See ya in the funnies, warren&gwen

Who knew 2012 was upon us... Well, To be honest sometimes I wonder

Who knew that T-mobile service, where it exists, is great.. Well, guess who I got my cell phone from.. Though when I buy internet it's Virgin mobile at least for now.

(The reason for this is I only buy internet a few times a year, The reste of the time I have park Wi-Fi. but 20 bucks worth of Virgin Mobile lasts me six weeks in the winter, and Zero bucks worth lasts all summer.

We are still here and busy as when we had children; two girls for exercise, one to change the bandage every day and one to assist with bath etc. In between all the "company" we get some sleep during the day and then the phone rings all the time with various doctors and such checking on things. Gwen only walks when there is someone besides me to assist her and then only in the living room with the walker, but that is far and away better than laying on her back and not being able to lift her head or turn or dance. We go to the doctor every week so far and she does good at riding in the car--and getting in and out in the wheelchair.

It sure is good seeing you are all still around even if in a different mode. God bless you all and take care of yourselves. eieio

Hi Warren, Well, we are still in AZ but will be heading home towards the end of the month. It's been fun but I think we have just about had enough of the dirt/sand out here and look forward to seeing some green grass for a change. We've been off the grid for the last month, a new experience for us but worked well. Gives us a new outlook on what we need to go forward with. You all be careful and tell Gwen to keep up the good work.

Wow,,,where did March and April go? I guess we got more tied up as Gwen healed up enough to start chemo-- two weeks ago and today. She goes in every two weeks to get a pump put on and wears it for two days then the home health nurse comes and takes it off. Praise the Lord, she did not get sick and no hair is out yet. She is some more tired, but all she got to do is ease into the bedroom and take care of that problem. Along with the health care there are women to help her with anything and some that clean, laundry, shop etc. Thanks all yall for the prayers. Keep up the good work!!!!!

See ya in the funnies, eieio

I'm glad to hear that Gwen is doing as well as can be expected Warren. Send our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery to her.

We are back at home, mowing grass and all that good stuff. Thinking about what we need to change before next year but the way the economy is going we may kind of wait it out. Anyway, plan on heading to NM in July, maybe up to Colorado for some wheeling before coming back although I think the grandson may be going too so it may not be too long a trip. Had to put new tires on the trailer in Amarillo on the way in, one was going away so I figured it was time. Discount tire had us in and out in 50 minutes, mounted and balanced. All you had to do was write the check!

You'all take care
