Now how's that for a new title, Hi Hi.

Ok, now that the fun is over we can all settle down.

Ken/Don thanks for your kind words and we will look forward to seeing you'all again in the not too distance future. Hopefully as soon as we can get our "folks" settled into something other than us having to spend our waking moments taking care of them we can get back to doing some camping but I'm sure we have all been there and know what I mean. If you haven't been there yet, hang on, it's coming.

We're headed to Ohio next week to visit my Dad who we haven't seen in 10 or so years, another one of those trips that just have to be, taking the Civic and using my hotel points to save money. You know, sometimes all that traveling for business really helps and 40+ miles per gallon instead of the usual 9 sounds really good for a change. I got 43.934 driving from Tulsa to Springfield and back, all on one tank and included 73 miles in town driving and 75 mph on cruise on the interstate.

I didn't start out to make this a book so "sorry". I'm outa here!

After a trip of 2100 miles with the Honda loaded to the gills I was thinking about adding a red tongue to its grill, seemed kind of fitting. Averaged 40.1 for the trip but the poor thing had to downshift on every hill to hold speed. The trunk was so full you had to hold things in place until you could close the trunk lid and the back seat was completely full, just enough room for Charley's dad but we survived. It was kind of nice to fill up at 400 or so miles on 10 gal, wish my truck towing would do that instead of requiring 27 gal every 250 miles. A plus this time was the ability to turn around, pull off, go exploring, and all that stuff that we can't do with the rig, a welcome change. Did kind of miss my bed and bath though.

Tom, you need to rig a hitch on top and let the little beast pull one of the 5ers

You know Ken, that is a real good idea, although I think I'd better go get a new one before adding that option so it will be under warranty. Do you think the roof will need any reinforcing, last I checked WW said their dry pin weight was only 1400 lbs. I could put air bags between the roof and the hitch, that way the roof would be able to carry more weight.

Shoot, with air bags, you could probably make do with a Mini-Cooper or a Toyota Prius.
