That means it's time to head for the mountains. Hope this trip works out better than our last one, only planning on being gone for a month and would like to stick to that plan this time. Be good to get back to Colorado as its been awhile since we've been there, not to mention all the good New Mexico food with the green chiles. We'll think of you all back here in the heat but with our luck it'll probably cool down once we leave. Just do us a favor and make sure it's cooler by the time we get back.

Have fun and GOOD LUCK THIS TIME. Sounds like a great trip. We leave tomorrow for Ohio, Michigan and points north, maybe have waited too long to go, sounds like they are having hot weather up there also, but not as bad as here I bet.

Anywhere has got to be better than here, loading is the hardest part in this heat, sleep during the day and load at night.

Gene, you all be careful and enjoy the trip, same goes for you Billieg.

Looking good Ken, they did a good job on it, can't hardly tell its been repaired, have to take it back in Dec when we go back down and get the front wiring harness replaced as it was on national backorder until November but other than that it is running great and looks good. (they had to patch the harness so we could get on the road)

Anyway, we're here in Albuquerque and the weather is great, rain showers in the area and temps down in the 70's. Headed down into the high country tomorrow and will probably be out of touch for a couple of weeks, far as I know there is no cell service or broadband down there.
Enjoy the heat!!!!

HOT? So what yall think about this now. It is turning into the warmest summer since before I was even born, and that is a loooong time ago. I guess this makes Al have the warm fuzzies Gore feel good about all his stomping around ranting at us about driving our houses around too much. Shame on yall for taking off for the hills and leaving all that hot exhaust here. Have fun and bring back some fruit jars of that cool mountain air to turn loose when you get back--you ARE going to come back arent you.

Hey Ann, hope you found cooler weather. We are in the mountains of eastern PA and it's a blistering 71 degrees today....

And Warren and Tom, one of your neighbors are parked next to us! One smart Okie....

That wasn't Gene and Ann was it? Anyway, it's been real cool down in New Mexico in the mountains, now we are in Silverton Co where it's just as good if not better, 36 degrees last night, Burrr! Will be here a week before starting back (unless we decide to stay longer) looks like the heat has broken some in Okie country, good news! Most of the people up here are from Texas and Oklahoma escaping from the heat wave, we feel right at home.

Man Tom, If we could bail out of here, we would be headed your direction too. This working for a living sucks big time. I think I can make it one more year when I can get Medicare.

We spent some time in the smokies actually, nice. Also spent part of the summer in Idaho and Oregon. Unfortunately back home in the oklahoma heat right now. Wife goes to Atlanta tonight and I leave Tuesday for a few days in Montana on business. Talked to them Friday and they said it was 45 degrees that morning! Anywhere seems better than here this summer. Enjoy all and maybe when it RAINS and COOLS off we can meet somewhere for a weekend. Happy trails to you...........
