License Plates
Waited until the last minute before putting on the re-designed Oklahoma license plate.
The re-designed plate (some kind of bird) is less then appealing in my humble opinion (along with many others)
What do you think about them my fellow RVing Okies?

The scissor-tailed flycatcher (Tyrannus forficatus), also known as the Texas bird-of-paradise and swallow-tailed flycatcher, is a long-tailed bird of the genus Tyrannus, whose members are collectively referred to as kingbirds. The kingbirds are a group of large insectivorous (insect-eating) birds in the tyrant flycatcher (Tyrannidae) family. The scissor-tailed flycatcher is found in North and Central America
Guess will see what happens in another five years

If you don't want people to see what state you are from they are great as from 10ft and out you won't have a clue. Ugly is my opinion.

Yes, I thought the previous tag looked much better and, I guess, represented Oklahoma's history.
Not that the scissor-tailed flycatcher is lame... They are cool birds. They follow me around, when I am on the tractor hoping to catch bugs that I may stir up.
I do think the color is lame. baby/powder blue... lame, IMO

Another 'feel good' move by a liberal leaning nation! I do not particularly like it but what ever trips your trigger!

Don't have a problem with the bird, the design and color of the plate is, is, is, as you say Lame...

I don't particularly like the new plate either. The graphics could,be much better and the color choice stinks. But, that's just IMHO.

On a positive note the plate numbers are easier to remember. Three letters, three numbers. One number apart from the Truck and MH.

I showed a picture of the new license plate to my son in Oregon and asked him if he knew what it was. He said No. I explained it to him that it was a Scissored Tail Fly Catcher and his reply was, whats that? I now have on all my vehicles the "46" flag plate.

The change, like last time was intended to generate some cash into the poor state.
Whatdoyawanna bet they have already wasted it away on some useless project?
They would generate more cash enforcing the purchase of any tag (besides paper) at the dealership WHEN a vehicle is purchased instead of letting the hundreds I see go from as far back as APRIL without having bought their tag or registered their vehicle.
Drive safely pal........that means their insurance, if they even purchase that either will be null and void in the event of an accident.

After reading the procedure on a vanity plate I decided to keep the bird plate. I did renew my DL and found out because I turned 65 it cost nothing.
