OK Guy's and Girls

Oklahoma Boomer's Campout, September 8th through 10th at Wildwood campground on Ft Gibson lake. We have driven past this campground and thought it looked great but have never stayed there. (Wildwood).

Getting There:
From Ft. Gibson Dam on Hwy 80, travel 5 miles north or from Hulbert, OK, travel 5 miles southwest on Hwy 80. Follow entrance signs into the campground.
Hulbert is located just a few miles East of Wagoner on Highway 51.

Your reservations can be made on the Reserve USA website. Okiecat is in #4 and I have #2 reserved. Everyone that can please come out and meet Okiecat and her husband. Who ever is in charge of the weather please make sure the heat goes away by then.

On edit, I created a shortcut to the South Central region for more visibility just in case someone doesn't know to find the other forum under Oklahoma Boomers.

We'll be there Friday afternoon and will look forward to meeting any of the Oklahoma Boomers that can make it that weekend! I hear the fishing is pretty good along Fourteen Mile Creek. Jimmy, my DH, will be bringing his Sea Eagle (inflatable boat) and doing his best to to catch all of them. LOL

I am excited to know that we have FINALLY found a weekend that we can get together with Tom & Charley. I can hardly wait to sit around the campfire with them and make some new/old friends!

C'mon out y'all!!

Hey guys, we love to make it up there, but we are sort of tied down for now. House is scheduled for completion toward the end of September, so it is getting hectic, next it is a long way, then I'd have to rob at least two banks to buy enough fuel and it will probably be hotter there than it will be in Houston.

Hope all ya'll have a great time.

Ken

For the rest of you that drop by and read our postings, why don't you make this a first and come on out, I promise, we don't bite and the food is usually pretty good, that is unless I'm cooking, then we get to eat after dark and Heinz said he wasn't going to do that anymore. He wanted to see what he was eating, can't understand why???

Note to self... always eat BEFORE dark with this group, especially if Tom is cooking.

Oh and please don't try to sic me on any of these nice people, I am friendly, really I am!

I can attest to the fact that I never left an Okie or Texas Boomer rally the slightest bit hungry and the food was great. So jump in there folks and enjoy the fun.

Sorry, but Marilyn and I are heading up to Colorado next week and probably will not be back in time to make it. I'm not sure where we are going yet, but I'm sure we will find some Jeep trails to poke along on. We'll be thinking of you guys down here in the heat though. I'll put an extra log on the campfire LOL. I think the high temp in the area we are going to go to was 78 Deg last week.
Maybe we can make it to the next one.

Lee

Lee, you dog... Man I envy you. Have a great trip up there. We just got back from the 39 degree mornings in NM, hated to come back to these temps.

I've been thinking about trading for a new Rubicon but it might be cheaper to just put a locker in mine.

Course, I haven't been anywhere that mine won't go yet, that is if I want to go there anyway.

Have good trip!
