Just because I've been kind of busy, what's the excuse for the rest of you?

Well, just in case you are interested, I got the WW out today and cleaned the tanks, ran some bleach through the water system and generally tried to get it ready for New Mexico in a few weeks. First I have to spend a couple of weeks working in Hot Springs, then we are off to NM for a week for Charlene's family reunion. Just can't wait to burn that $5 a gallon diesel, should have a lot more power for that kind of money, right!

Anyway, feel free to post whenever you can. Misery loves company you know.

Hey there!
We just returned from a 2 week camping trip. We spent June 20 - the 27th at Bull Shoals White River State Park in Arkansas. Then we were heading home and stayed a week from June 27th to July 5th at MarVal Fishing & Camping Resort in Gore, OK. Now we are home to rest a week and heading to Lake of the Ozarks State Park in Missouri for a week from July 13 to the 19th. Then we may do a few weekenders after that. Hope all is safe and well with you all!

Well..... I've checked in a few times but there were no new posts. I guess after inviting folks to join us a couple of times and nobody was interested, I gave up.

We've been camping almost every other weekend but staying closer to home. Now that we have two toys to tow (say that fast four times LOL) we find it easier and less expensive to stick around close to home.

Good to hear from y'all! Have a great trip Tom & Charley! Maybe we'll figure out a time for a get together in the future.

We spent a few days in Branson just before the 4th but been working more than we like and have not gotten away much. All that changes Sunday as we fly to Anchorage and pick up our rented motorhome for 2 weeks in the Alaskan wilds. See you all in the fall, I hope. Gene

We returned home from our first pop-up camper rally from another online forum. We stayed a week at Lake of the Ozarks state park in Missouri. We had the best camping experience ever. We can't wait to try out some more rallies. We were very aprehensive at first, but it really helped give me a kick in the pants about seeing places I may not have even thought of traveling to. So far our next trip is planned for Sept. 19 - 21st at Last Chance Ranch in Castle, OK; but I hope to get a weekender squeezed in before kids are back in school late August.

Glad you had a good time, we have been staying inside enjoying the air conditioning. However, we have been loading at night while its a little cooler getting ready for New Mexico later this week. Can't wait to escape the heat!

Already wishing for Fall, maybe with a little luck we can get out and go camping some.
