Even though it is snowing as I type this we must think positive

So we have tentatively sked our first outing for Pymatuning state park in Andover, Oh for the weekend of 4/21. Section three which is sites 109-237, electric only, will be open then. We could reserve sites but they wouldnt be site specific at this time. So we probably will just go and grap some sites together. If the weather doesnt cooperate, we are looking at the next weekend of 4/28.
Would love to have some new members join us for the kick off weekend.

Ahhh, Pymatuning.........

Anyone else have memories of that cold wind blowing off the lake when we had our group outing on the PA side a couple years ago.

Maybe camping on the West side of the lake will be warmer or I could get some ice skates to skate on the lake.

April camping sounds great. We'll be there!

I think we just start too early. Last year it spit snow at our first at Salt Fork. Nuthin' like having our group dinner in the great outdoors. Good thing Michelle & Shelly had enough coffee.

Good news on your appointment, but it would have been nice to have had you at the outing. We will make it another time, OK?

Mike,
My wife and I will try to make this campout as long as our jobs don't get in the way. How many days before that weekend do you make the decision if the weather will be a problem and then delay until the following weekend?
Thanks,
John

John,
That would be great if you guys can join us.
I suppose we should know by Tues or Wed. if we would be postponing the weekend.
I'm hoping we can do it that weekend cause I have a birthday party for my grandson the next Sat.(the 29th) and would prefer just be at home for it rather than leave a campground somewhere and drive home. So I personally would push for the 21st unless it really looks like crap for weather!
If you are able to make it, let us know that week and we can try and hold a site. Let us know what you kinda like in a site. It doesnt mean you will get it, but you can always ask!
Mike

John,

Hope you can make the campout.

I also just found out that we need to be home the weekend of the 29th so we're pretty much commited to camping on the weekend of the 22nd.

Mike,

I'll watch for any weather updates on that Tuesday or Wednesday and then send a message if we can make it for sure. Thanks for the offer to try to hold a site for us. Generally I like a site that is reasonably level with grass and gravel to keep our dog's paws out of trouble. It's nice to be able to get to the southwest sky for my roof-mounted satellite dish. I prefer not having trees right over the motorhome so I don't have to clean trash and sap off the roof and slide covers. We will also tow our car so it would be nice to be able to park at the site. It appears to be about a 4 1/2 hour drive for us to this park and this will be our first visit to this park. Look forward to seeing all.

John

I was hoping to get out last weekend, but the weatherman must not be a camper. This up coming weekend is looking no better here in Northeast Ohio. The trailer is all set to go....

Aw, come on, Jim. You got that trailer ready...fire up those propane tanks & camp away. Ours is still winterized, although we did get out last Sun when it was nice & gave it a thorough washing & de-blackstreaking & checked around inside to be sure no leaks happened over the winter. It's almost time.
