You have to omit the weather so far this spring has been super. Getting the RV all shined up, fixed up and loaded up over the last week. Today cleaned out the hot water heater and fixed a few minor do-da's. Hoping to get out next weekend if the weather cooperates.

Wanting to be & itchin' to go - especially with the weather we've had lately - but not yet, Jim. We were planning on taking the cover off on Saturday, but the Weather Channel is saying, although the temps will be warm, the wind is supposed to be 20-30 mph. I don't need Dave sailing off into the next county once I get the hold-down straps unhooked. You wouldn't believe how the sides billow up if that wind gets underneath 'em. We'll have to play it by ear & possibly postpone. Too bad if we do because it's been so dry it'd be perfect for getting it all folded up.

Once the reservation window opens up for our between Shawnee stops trip, I'll get those made & then I'll have all our days booked for the season. Never been done this early before. I've scheduled all Dave's time off alotment - his company doesn't have vacation, or sick time, it's all "paid time off" to use as they want. Lets just hope he doesn't get this year.

I am MORE than ready!!! Got the cover off, a few weeks ago, and then our beautiful weather went south and we are back to our 'normal' spring weather.

The good news, at least, is that our mountains have received a ton more snow. Really needed it as we were only 65% of normal. Our mountain snow is our summer water.

Oh well, Spring will come and then we'll get out there! In the mean time, I'm spending my pay check at CW and working on my 'check list' of items that I wanted to have/do with her this year. LOL!

Been watching the forecast up north here, and it is showing next Thur - Sun as nice. If that holds up we most likely head to Findley SP. I called a few days ago and they said they have the water on and the showerhouses will open up next Friday, if there are no broken pipes. As long as we can fill our fresh water, I'm good to go.... I'll take a day off from work on Thur. night and make it a 3 day weekend.....

I'm of next week and will wash/wax the coach. Then install new Bilistien shocks, Gibson performance shocks, Banks cold air setup and fix a few minor issues. Then we will take off monthly to nearby campgrounds and a trip to Maine this June. We're excited and itching to go.

Hey, there's John. Where ya been all winter? Haven't seen ya much on the boards.

I've got other commitments for the end of this month or WB would sound good to me. You folks have a great opening to the season.

We did get the cover off today although it didn't get folded up as well as we would've liked. We had to keep laying down on the roof spread out as far as we could (one close to each end) to keep the wind from catching an edge, unfurling what we already had folded & taking us with it. We had to work quickly during lulls in the breeze to get it bundled & lowered off the roof before the worst of the winds hit by noon.

That would be great!
We're going to Mohican on the 13th for 4 days and will be camping at my fishing hole for a week for Memorial weekend which is where I always go...really looking forward to getting some fishing in.....
We also have 3 days scheduled at Cook Forest for June 11-14th.
Can't plan too much farther ahead as I just began a new JOB?...Only took 3 years to get this one landed....writing Specs for HUD housing renovations. Have to spend 2.5 Million in the next 5 months for neighborhood stabilization!

I'm so happy for you, John. I've been out of work just over 3 years so I know the difficulty. It's tough out there when ya have the expertise & experience & they only wanna pay you what you made a dozen years ago! Not bad being off though. I actually like it, so much less pressure & stress, I don't have to drive in the nasty winter weather & I can take classes that interest me at my leisure. Dispite having less discretionary money, being out of work has its good points.

The funny part of getting this position is; I applied for it 3 years ago! That's when the funds were allocated to do this Neighborhood Stabilization thing with HUD. Never heard a word back....Now there are 5 months left to spend the money and they're scrambling to get the dollars allocated to specific homes. While the job will last about a year; the money has to be spent in 5 months or you give it back! So for the next 5 months I'll be spending a lot of time running to job sites and returning home to do my work....I LIKE IT!
Beats sitting here sending resumes' and getting no replies that's for sure!
Unlike you Lori: I was near pulling my hair out!!!! I like my fun money.
Anyway; we plan to hang loose for July and August and will be doing several more outings in Sept., Oct. and hopefully Nov. if weather permits.
I/we cannot stand having our A/C running constantly during the hot months camping (just don't enjoy it)...so we decided to stay home and use our pool...

Sept & Oct are my favorite months for camping. Warm days/cool nights/fall color/less crowded CG's make for very pleasant camping. If ya ever get down our way (Alum Creek, Cross Creek or Delaware, put out a post & we'll see if we can join ya.
