Hi Heartland Friends,

We are in Arkansas and want to know if there is a group here somewhere. If not, where is the closest club? Any information is appreciated. This forum is great. Hope to see you on the road.

Hey Dreamer, we are in NE Oklahoma and trying to get some Okies together. Maybe we could make a combined Okie/Hog campout.

Ken W, TXiceman,

An Okie/Hog campout would be great. It would be nice to plan something and meet others on this forum. What do we need to do?

So, you have a Minature Schnauzer, also. Ours is KD and wanting to take her with us had a lot to do with getting into RVing. She has traveled more than some folks we know.

Country Dreamer, our 'miniature" is a Texas Miniature...weighs in at 30# and not fat....just big. He is 10-1/2 years old and is a black and silver. He loves to travel and is the first one at the door once he figures out the RV is being loaded.

Vette racer is from west of Tulsa and we are about 35 miles east of Tulsa. Have not looked on the ARK map to se where you are.

We'll keep in touch and post a note when we can think about getting together.

Happy Turkey day...Oh, we are cooking country style pork ribs . No offense to Arkansas.

Well, had to move this thread forward. Where is Sheridan Ark? It would really be great to get several of us together in the spring for a campout. What do you think?

Vette Racer,

Sheridan is about 30 miles south of Little Rock.

A spring campout would be great. We look forward to making some plans.

We would be very interested in attending a Sooner/Hog campout as we really enjoy camping in Arkansas. Please keep us up to date on any plans.

Pawnee Dan,

We have camped in several Arkansas State Parks. Where all have you camped in Arkansas?

Our son and his family live in Florida so we travel through Arkansas quite often. We have camped in several private campgrounds along I-40 and US-65. We also like the area around Eureka Springs and have been there several times. The only Arkansas State Parks we've camped at was Beaver Lake but have camped in many Oklahoma State Parks.

Country Dreamer, correction, we now have two miniature schnauzers. We adopted a 1-1/2 year old felmale from the rescue center in Tulsa. She is a real littel lady and has settled in real nicely. She went on her first camping trip this weekend and did fine.

Hope we can meet up down the road.

We talked about our next Okie/Sooner/Cowboy campout in May.

Where in Arkansas? We just purchased a home in Hot Springs Village and will be moving down sometime between July and mid-September.
