Question Berkshire Lake Campground

Heading for Berkshire Lake (North of Columbus off I71) this afternoon to spend the weekend with three of the Grandkids. This is the first time we have visited the campground but from their WEB site it looks like a nice place with lots to do to keep the kids busy.

Any comments?

I'm sure it was hot, but bet the g'kids didn't mind. Report back with your impressions so we know whether it's an "avoid" or "gotta go".

Thumbs up Berkshire Lake

It was hot but the pool was nice for the the G-Kids, DW and I. The facilities were clean, and the prices in the camp store were very reasonable for snacks like ice cream, shushies, etc.

This CG has a lot of long term campers and whole sections appear to have been in place for years. There were a lot of activities for the kids and adults , pot lucks, contests and games, hayrides, putt-putt, etc.

Most sites appeared to be good size with full hook ups, fire rings, and huge tables (could sit 8-12 people). Site was gravel but fairly level and plenty of grass and trees. Unable to use satellite because of the trees but we got good reception on the over the air antenna (Columbus stations)

With all the heat and everyone running max A/C we never experienced any problems with the electric

My DW wanted to stay another day but I had to be back at work on Monday so we had to leave

We have placed this CG on our list of places to visit again ( Our G-Kids live in Delaware OH about 25 min away).

Thanks for the info. We'll have to make it a point to check it out sometime.

Having sufficient electric supply when it's so hot where everyone is pulling max amps is a plus for a CG. I've been at one in OH who's electrical system couldn't handle the situation you had & it sucked.
