Camp outings- Try to join if you can

We have planned a couple of outings for the upcoming spring/summer and hope some of you could join us.
Pymatuning state park, Oh side 4/21
5/5 Colonel Crawford, Saegertown, Pa.
5/26 Memorial Day weekend- Lock 30, Lisbon, Oh
6/2- Whispering Hills, Shreve, Oh 1/2 price weekend.
6/9 West Branch state park, Ravenna, Oh
6/23 Baylor Beach Wilmot, Oh
9/1- Oil Creek Family campground, Titusville, Pa.
10/6- Shawnee state park, Bedford, Pa. Fall festival.
Still working on other dates. If you would like more info on any of these places, please give me a yell.

Mike, that Sept 1st outing at Oil Creek is that the state park? If it is could you tell me what it is like. Will see ya at Lock 30 and West Branch. As far as Whipering Hills, Diane usually has a birthday party for Robert about then. Sometime we have a family get together at a campground. If I remember from 2 years ago their 1/2 off weekend they didn't fill up. So we'll see.....

There is no family camping available at Oil Creek SP, only organized camping (i.e. Boy/Girl Scouts) is offered. It's Oil Creek Family Campground.

What brings you here in July? Have you ever been to Whispering Hills/ Do you know what site number you will be on? it's a nice park, but some of the sites are alittle slanted.

We're leaving here the middle of July and overnighting in Romance WV,then doing three nights in Shreve,to do the Amish thing. We're then leaving there and heading Frankenmuth,MI for a few days and then further west,with an eventual stop at that Mall everyone talks about...

I got to pick the new coach....can you tell who planned THIS trip?

Would appreciate site "hints"....40'er with three slides pulling a Trailblazer.

Tell them you want site 23 on Elm st. 50amp full hookup. Nice and wide and level and deep.

Thanks Mike....we'd been to Scenic Hills (i think??), some years ago but want to try Whispering Hills.
Scenic Hills was ok but just a campground...

If you aren't familiar w/this area & haven't already asked them, have Whispering Hills send you their newspaper. It'll have area info. If you need any suggestions on what to do in the area, post in this forum. Several of us are very familar w/the area & can suggest places to go & where to eat.

While you're at Whispering hills doing the Amish thing, make sure you run down to Kidrion and visit Lehmans Hardware. It must be worlds largest hardware store tailered to the "non powered" community.

You can buy propane powered residential refridgerators, hand cranked wringer washers, and any type of oil/propane lamp you can imagine there. Interesting place to visit.

Lori....my wife spells her name the same way..

We STILL have the "Berlin Flyer" four wheel steer wagon we bought my daughter many years ago...I've received "some" advice on restaurants,even got the W/H newspaper when we got our confirmation....I WILL be giving them a call and requesting that site though.

Rebelsbeach: a CG at Berlin, or Amish Acres at Winesburg are closer/more in the middle of Amish country, than Shreve.
