We have a wedding to attend in Warren, OH next month and was wondering if anyone had any campground suggestions. Because we're planning to stay three nights and have to "dress" for the occasion, a campground with a full hookup site is mandatory as our grey water tank would not have the capacity to go this long.

The reception's at a country club and this could be amusing if there's valet parking. I love to watch just to see what gear the attendant chooses when he goes to park the 5 speed, 3/4 ton diesel. One time, I was actually asked to park it myself.

From my research so far, Homestead Family Campground looks about the most convenient to Warren. It's located east of Warren on Route 7 between I-80 and Route 82. Has anyone ever camped there?

I'm sorry I cant help you Frank for that location. The only campground that comes to mind in that area is Mosquito State park alittle north of Warren. But I dont think they have any full hookup sites.

Mike's right. There isn't much in that area & we haven't been to Homestead either. You could try it & check it out for us. Hubbard is about half an hour SE of Warren. Greenville, PA has a campground (about 40 minutes NE of Warren) www.farmaparks.com. Haven't been to that one either, but might be an option since it has full h/u, too.

Thanks, Folks.

They have a website with many pictures of the campground and facilities.

Homestead RV Sales, Service and Family Campground

It looked quite nice, with heavily wooded sites. Some of the pictures reminded me a lot of Campers Paradise near Cook Forest (Sigel, PA).

It appears very convenient to Warren. From the campground, I just have to follow OH-7 north to OH-82 west which takes you directly into Warren. It should make it easy for me to find "home" just in case I get a little tipsy at the reception.

Over the weekend, I called the campground and made a reservation for three nights (arriving Fri, departing Mon). A full hookup site was $25.00/nite.

We'll be tied up with the wedding all day Saturday, but the additional night will permit us to recuperate Sunday for the trip back home on Monday.

You will have to let us know what you think of it so we can add it to a future list, Frank.
