Just wondering if anyone is doing any more camping before calling it a season.
Thanks.

We plan on 5 days at Thanksgiving and 3 or 4 days at Christmas, both within 100 miles of home. Winter is a great time to camp in SW Texas. No crowds, nice weather (usually above freezing, often in the seventies).

Yea, it has been a great summer, weather-wise around here. But it is still too short of a season.

Stop camping !!!! No way Spent 4 nights last weekend at West Branch State Park in NE. Ohio. What a great weekend It was their Halloween campout weekend with many things to do for the kids like pumpkin carving, pumpkin bowling, trick or treating, haunted trail.... They did a good job with the haunted trail. The weather was perfect..... I signed up for a RV winterizing class / talk at All-Seasons RV for Oct. 22nd. I though if the weather was going to be fair We would camp there again at West Branch this weekend since All-Season is very close by, but it looks like its going to rain all weekend. I'll decide Friday morning.
I'm just not ready to give up on the camping season yet.
Next year we plan to go to Redhouse State Park in western New York for our fall trip. I believe Columbus Day weekend is prime fall colors there. There are many things to do in the area. We will also do one of the Ohio State Parks fall / Halloween camp-out also. The Redhouse CG we need to make our reservation at least 6 months ahead to get a site with electric.

Hello Sherri,
My brother's family was with us at West Branch this fall. He said he would like to do it again next year because of all the things to do for the kids. I believe West Branch has there Fall campout the weekend after Columbus Day weekend. Next year if that holds true we will camp at Red House SP in Western NY. on Columbus Day weekend and then do West Branch the weekend after. I'll have to find out for sure when they have it for 06'. Have you been to West Branch before? The reason I ask is there are a few sites that are not level and the Ohio State Parks website sometimes doesn't actually list it right in the site descriptions.

SherriP, how did you like Natural Springs? We were there in June and though it was nice but a little over priced.
