Cleveland RV show Jan. 7th - 11th 2009

I don't want Cleveland to be left out. Here is a link: Cleveland RV Show Admission is $11.50 and parking is usually around $10 The Cleveland IX center really racks it in on the parking fee. I usually go every other year. I might make a trip down to Columbus in March in 09'.

Like I mentioned in the other post,Jim, we are planning on going to Cleveland on Saturday I think. So are you maybe going, or are you gonna wait and go to Clumbus?

I just received in the mail today All Season's RV holiday greeting. In their mailing it says Bob Tiffin will be in town during the show. So I bet ya he will be at the show Sat. At this time I'm not sure if I'll go to the Cleveland show....

Are you guy's still planning a Saturday trip to the Cleveland show? Looking at the forecast for Saturday it's not looking very good. A storm (panhandle hook) is coming up from the SW. Friday evening. Their predicting 6-12" of snow Saturday. That will keep the crowds down....

The forecast is also calling for snow here, but we're still hoping to make the show on Saturday. I'm planning on leaving pretty early to try to get to the show early.

I know Mike and Bill are also planning on attending. Hopefully if you go Saturday, we can get together.

So, who all went? I know Joe did 'cuz I saw his post in the Tiffin forum about talking w/Bob Tiffin. Was the show as pitiful as Frank said Pittsburgh's was?

I'm worried that the Columbus show was (the one they just had) & will be (the rv only one coming in March) bad, too.

Bill, Joe, Jim and I were there.
Actually, this years show was much better than the last several. General RV bought out Clay's RV and had a large selection of units there. Also Sirpilla, who hadnt been to the last couple, was there also with a good selection. I think All Seasons had more there than usual too. And the vendors were maybe more than previous. So I thought it was a good showal.
If you were a cash buyer there was some super deals there.
Just not in the cards for me though.

Come on Mike I saw ya lookin..... Actually Old Slif here couldn't pass up the deals Sirpilla's was giving on their MH's. They were giving them away. Really.... I couldn't pass up the price.... Here is a Picture of my new Winnebago rig..... Let's all say OOOOOO......

Well, I'll give it to my parents dog and he'll give it some ventilation holes. No really. One surprise at the show was just before I went I checked the IX Centers program and it listed that Carriage was going to be there. Here one of our NE Ohio dealers just picked them up. They had the Domani and the Cameo models at the show. I'm in love... Boy if I could only fit her up the driveway. On the show floor they had 2 Cameo's, one was a Limited Edition (40th Anniversary) full wall slide model... with cherry trim. It was the first time I have seen the Domani model in person. It is really different...super modern.....A lot of angles..Just different. I good different... All the beds in the Domani line are at about a 70% angle.... Carriage Line

I saw one of the 40th anniv. Cameo's on our MH dealer's lot. It's beautiful. It's got that full-wall hideaway tv entertainment center w/the fireplace that I just LOVE, plus the gorgeous full body paint.

I could just see you in that, Jim, relaxing w/your feet up in the recliner. Oh wait, that model has 2 recliners...one for Diane, too! Yep, I hear it calling you...."buy me, buy me!"

Talking about recliners, we were shopping for a new Lazy-Boy recliner this evening.
In a 5er layout I like to have a layout where you have easy viewing of the entertainment center. There were a few layouts at the show where a 42" flat panel TV was in the slide and you had 2 theater seating recliners in the other side of the of the units other slide. The couch would be along the rear of the RV.
On the Carriage 5ers I like where they have a rear storage compartment with 3 outside doors. There was a lot of room in there. Maybe 50% of what the front basement can hold.
I still can't believe they were able to achieve a full wall slide in a 5er. At the show I was crawled around the full wall slide side to check it out underneath. It was very clean in the way they did it.
