Ok, yesterday, I spent 3hrs raking & mulching leaves. Today, I spent an hour shovelling the drive & walkway out from 3+ inches of snow. It's supposed to be in the teens tonight with wind chills near zero, but by Sunday, it's gonna be 60-degrees!!
Does this mean winter is over already & we can start camping again?

I know I live in the wrong part of the country!!!
The remainder of our leaves are frozen under some snow, and Sunday we are expecting some freezing rain with the temps in the 30's...brrrrr Heck, after Halloween, it went right to cold, and I never got the chance to get our outside holiday decorations up..my house is nakey!

I had my leaves raked to the curb about 3 weeks ago. I was worried that the city would change over the leaf vacuums to snow plows and never pick up my leaves. Just before I was going to call the service dept. the "suck-er-up-er" came. That was Monday this week.....My next RV outing will be the RV show here in Cleveland in Jan......Right now I'm reading a book called RV Retirement (Part-Time or Full-Time) I only wish....some day.....

I wish! There are very few cg's open down here & those that are are without utilities. As I write this, we're bracing for another 2-4 inches of snow; this time, coming up from the south. I'll have to be like Jim & hold out for the RV only show (in March, here in Columbus).
Although, I have to admit, the snow is pretty. It's been rough the past few years doing Christmas shopping when it's 50+ degrees outside. At least, now it REALLY looks like Christmas around here.
Check out the photos section under Stewarl. I posted (once it gets approved) a shot of our house decorated for the season with the new snowfall.

Looks Nice, L-
What kind of light formation is that in front of the living room window that looks like an arch?
A couple of weeks ago in Sam's Club we bought two string sets of these neat white/blue LED stars that light in eight different patterns. They must have been a "hot item" as we were in Sam's last Saturday and they were all G-O-N-E while all the other Christmas lights next to them were still there. The box says the the LEDs have an average life expectancy of 25,000 hours. Using this number, I figured that if I run these lights for six hours a night for 30 days that comes to 180 hours a season. Dividing that into 25,000, I find the lights should last an average of a little over 138 years.

Lori, having lived in western PA for some seven years and seen all the snow and then moving back to VA and NOW living in Florida for goodness sakes, I must tell you that I felt really weird putting lights up outside as I stood there in my flip flops today....
Can ya send a brother some snow for a day?
It was 78 and sunny today....

Thanks. Yeah, it is an arch. I put 2 red/white light strings on a garden arch.
I'm holding out on the LED's (your calculations show they'd be the way to go - they'd last so long I could pass them down in my will ), although I'm getting low on my old strings. About a dozen years ago, I was off for several months on disability leave & I wanted something different for the outdoor lights. Everyone had those clear twinkle lights...SO boring. I bought 10 strand of 50 red & 10 strands of 50 clear lights. Then I spent a whole month (and many broken fingernails) switching out every other red to clear & clear to red on each of the strings. This was also before they already came that way. I'm down now to just 2 strings of red/clear lights left.

Sure! How much ya want? I know what you mean about the weather down there. We spent one Christmas in Sanabel a few years back. It sure was weird attending a Christmas eve service on the beach in shorts and a light jacket.

P.S. Sorry for monopolizing the photos section. Yeah, that's me with all those in the recent posted group at the top tonight. I uploaded a TON of campground photos & now am working on reviews. A good activity for a cold, snowy night!
