Who is this guy who keeps poppin' on here once in a blue moon? I think his Pond Piggie membership needs revoked. Heck, the man's retired, he should have time on his hands now.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Anyways, looking at our sked, August 3rd weekend would be good for us to go to Delaware if you guys are available.

Lori,
Let's see who else may be able to go so you can scope out several sites for us, ok?

Lori, if your doing a "look - see" at Delaware, take a few pictures...I'm surprised that being that close you have not been there much.

Ahhh... another "lost" PP chiming in here.

Our calendar dates are open for 08/03 - 08/05. We'd want to stay until Monday, 08/06, though and arrive in the afternoon on Friday rather than after dark (as we usually do).

We have a wedding to attend the following weekend. Just an FYI in case you have to push back a week for some reason.

Gosh, L~, Delaware SP is almost like camping in your backyard. Hardly looks more than a half-hour ride. I'm sure there are some wineries close by.

I'll bring the Cheetos.

I haven't had much time to play on forums these days as we've been looking for property to build our "home base". We currently have our eyes on a 2.3 acre site in Washington County located about 15 miles south of the Greater Pitt. airport. Today, we're going to the Washington County Courthouse to do research on the lot. It seems that Washington County isn't much into technology, and what little information they do have available on-line, leaves a lot (no pun intended) to be desired.

I think that weekend might work for us also.

It looks to be over a 4 hour drive for us, so for us it might make sense staying an extra day too.

For the size rigs some have; sites 11-20 are the best suited for easy in/out.
Nice loop in the south section....and all are available for the 28 thru 30th.
Remember they're electric only.

Yeah, that's the rub. Being so close to home, it's hard to rationalize paying money for a campsite when I can sleep at home for free. If it's just us, it's a no brainer to stay home. When Mike's been there before, we'll usually hop in the Mustang & just come up for a nite's campfire. Although logistically, since we store the coach at Dave's dad's in Hopewell, it's an hour out to get it, an hour back to our house & then half an hour up to the SP. Round trip 5 hours total. So if I look at it that way, we're driving about the same as if we stay at Evergreen or Cutty's. That's why I'm now thinkin if we get to Delaware SP, just bring the coach back to our house after & then do Cardinal CG - just up the road in Marengo - the next wknd.

From what I can remember, John's correct about those sites & I think that's a pet loop (some loops at DSP are no-pet). I'll try to get up there in the next week & check out the actual sites.

John - make a note we're looking at Aug 3-5(6). I edited the thread title to reflect the date change.

Wow,

Those sites on the cul-de-sac look nice!

I'm ready to book as soon as you tell us where.
