Joe, Bill and I are going there over Labor Day to get things locked up for next years rally. They had a couple of sites still available yesterday when I called. Anyone care to join us?

Probably not us. That's my family reunion wknd & Evergreen is a bit far for us to run to that & back. Plus, last yr, our OSU game tickets turned out to be that same wknd. Don't know what we'll end up with this year (have to wait for the Alumni lottery drawing), but I need to keep my options open for that.

Thanks, Mike, but after giving it some thought I might have to pass on this one. Because my wife is back at school we can't get started until after 6:00 PM. When we went to Baylor Beach last Labor Day (which appears to be about the same distance and uses almost the same routing) we didn't arrive until after 9:00 PM. By the time we get setup, it's time for bed. I like to limit our travel time to a maximum of two hours once school's back in session. If we could leave home earlier, I'd be there with the Cheetos.

We decided to go to Raccoon Creek SP for Labor Day. It's only about an hour from home. I made the reservation this evening. There was only one electric, non-pet site, E-8, that was on my list of preferred sites and I reserved it. We usually camp at Raccoon at least once a year and we missed last year.
