It hit $1.99 for regular today! And just when the season is over, too. Bummer.

Ohio sure has Pennsylvania beat on gas prices right now.

I had to take a ride to the West Side of Cleveland over the weekend so I had a chance to see the varying gas prices between the two states. Western Pennsylvania stations were all $2.55 or $2.59 a gallon on Sunday. Right accross the Ohio border, I paid $2.27 thinking I got a deal. Continuing on to Westlake though, I could have bought gas there for $2.13.

Now I find out that if I had just went a little further to Columbus , I could have filled up for $ 1.99

That's a good thing

If it keeps dropping in Canton, everyone will want to come to the rally there next Summer just to fill their fuel tanks

Yeah, we could change the Rally logo to read "Home of the cheap gas!".

I thought about getting a bunch of 5-gallon cans & stocking up. But I'd go broke buying Stabil to keep it good until the spring. Plus, where would I put 15 5-gallon cans?!?

This Indian Summer we're having now is testing my resolve. It's supposed to be in the 70's & here through Thursday. I set up my Campfire In A Can on the deck, just outside the patio doors, to ease the withdrawl symptoms.

Regular gas is $1.91/G in IN this week. Downside- diesel still at $3.59/G. Wassup with that?

Ray,

We have the same situation in Western Pennsylvania. Gas is down to 2.35 a gallon, but diesel is around $ 3.25. I've always thought the price of diesel was a little higher in the Winter due to the demand for home heating fuel, but this seems out of hand.

I just can't figure why just a few miles away over the state line in Ohio, both the gas and diesel are 30-40 cents a gallon cheaper.

$1.83 to $1.79 here on the SE. side of Cleveland. I'm starting to think about trips for 09'. If I only knew fuel was going to stay under $2 / gal. I would think about a trip to the Smokey Mts. and Myrtle Beach. We usually like to hit Myrtle Beach every 3rd year, but with the price of gas it's been 5 years since we have been there. I'm still holding out for one more weekend camping. I'll have to winterize Thursday or Friday because of a real cold snap hitting here this coming weekend.

I'm holding out putting gas in my car for premium to get below $2/gal & we're so close ($2.039 today). I can't remember the last time I paid less than $2/gal to fill up the Bimmer.

Jim, if you think this weekend will be cold, don't look at the long range forecast. It's showing highs only in the low 30's for here then. Brrrr!!!

I just drove to FL from Pgh. On the way down I paid about half of what I did for gas last Spring on the way north.

Gassed up at the FlyingJ in Rockhill, SC, on I-77, at $1.909. It's now down to $1.819. From what I see $1.819 is the lowest on the East coast.

FWIW, I would rather have gas at $4 a gallon and the DOW back at 14,000.

Wow Jim!!...the price of fuel in PA is still $ 2.29. I see no reason for 50 cents a gallon higer price in PA than Ohio.

The lower price of fuel though does make planning a longer trip for next Summer sound interesting.

We're down to the $1.689-$1.719 range. I just wish these prices would stay, but you know they won't. Just as we gear up for rv-ing season next year, the price will go up (way up) if it doesn't already do so over the winter.

I guess we should enjoy the low prices while we have them.
