They couldn't have picked a better time to come to Branson. Branson just opened "The Landing" which is right down on the waterfront. Superb shopping, great eateries, shows and the mighty Bass Pro Shop. Check it out: The Branson Landing

Hey guys, I need some place in the Branson area that sells GPS units to come to our rally and have a vendor booth. I left a message for the manager at the Pro Bass shop but he hasnt called back yet. Any other ideas? I might try a Best Buy or Radio Shack, but they probably dont get into that kind of stuff. I need a place that might be smaller than those big boys who would like to try and earn some money from our members.

Also, I just "featured" this post so it stays on top of the forum pages so everyone can see what region has the honors this year. This is for you guys who are right in the "thick of things" as it were. I know Ohio is "kinda" far away to be able to lay claim to hosting this years rally.

Mike,
CAR-FI in Springfield has and installs all kinds of electronic gadgets for vehicles. They do all kinds of audio/video equipment, plus navigation equipment. I didn't indicate anything about the Rally but I called them just to see if they carried navigation type GPS units. They have several brands and install them. I know they go to area events and put up vendor booths. Their phone number is 417-882-5511. The manager's name is Rick Snelson. One of the other managers is Andre, sorry don't know his last name.
Yell if you need anything else.

We're planning a SUPER RALLY in your "neck of the woods" so there's no excuse to miss it!!
22 rigs have signed up, so we're well on our way to having AT LEAST 70 in attendance...

I'm sure there will be Pond Piggies there. Bill (Warpath), for 1 for sure.
As for the Pond Piggie name (if I may quote you Joe-K)..."It just happened that one of the first places a group of us camped was at Pymatuning lake, which is known as the place where "ducks walk on fish" There is actually a spillway where large 20"-30" carp congregate in such huge numbers that they appear to be a solid mass of fish. Out of that rather grotesque mass of fish was born the Pond Piggie. We just kinda liked it & it stuck.
