I registered!

The Ohio DNR is sending e-mail notification of news regarding their new card but the link in the email is broken. You must go to:

http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/parks/enews/tabid/524/Default.aspx

Then ask to register, it asks you to log in and then you again ask to register.

Then you get a blinky that says:
"Customer is registered successfully. Rewards Card 2110537 is assigned to the customer."

Lucky me.

Job done. Now, ODNR, go update the electric at Punderson. And put some more electric in at Findlay. And .... And ....

Steve

Good for you!!! I am going to wait until I go to a park office in person. I understand they will give you credit for 2009 spending also. I'm afraid if I sign up on line I will miss out on that credit.

No worries. Go ahead & sign up online. The system knows who you are because it uses your Reserveworld login info to set up your rewards account. I signed up online & I have credit in my account for my 2009 reservations.

Per the ODNR site, you do need to sign up by June 30, 2010 in order to get credit for 2009 reservations.

If I can add to that. Once you sign-up, your account might not be updated till the next morning. So this way you will see all your 09' stays after it is up-dated.

It looks like the rewards program amounts to about a seven percent discount. I did see one other thing. It looked like the card gave them the necessary information that I would otherwise have to write down and they then transcribe into their computer.

Ten percent was better. Seven percent is better than nothing. Not having to make out a camping slip is good for them and us.

Maybe check in will be via a scanner before long! Pull up, scan your card, go to your site.

Received my Rewards Card in the mail yesterday. Yes, the old Cardinal Card we got 15% off, but you had to pay $20 upfront each year. So you broke even after your 6th night. Like you said, anything is better than nothing. So far including the Mohican reservations for the upcoming Memorial Day IRV2 outing I have earned 2 1/2 nights of "free" camping.

After reading this thread I signed up online the other day; got my results the next day. I'm good for 1 night free: last year we didn't do too much OSP camping...For sure going to make up for it this season!
Also going to make sure we do at least one trip to Cook Forest. I really like that place; too bad not a full hook-up facility.

If you like Cook Forest you will also like Prince Gallitzin SP. located about an hour south of I-80. they have about 400+ sites that have been re-paved about a year ago. They have 7 loops with 2 loops for pets. Were doing a week in June here and then going up to Clear Creek for 4 more nights.

Strange thing; today made reservations for Cook Forest for June 11-13th site 51 on their map.
Looking at the photos I took from 2007; that site was labeled 50 on the electric box.
I know I can swing into the site I had before; but the one across the street would be a white knuckle job.
I wonder why they changed the numbering....
