Labor Day Weekend planning......

Well, one of these days the snow will stop falling and fellow Pond Piggies will get healthy and on there feet again. First off who has that weekend open for an outing? We have Baylor Beach, Cutty's, Lake Erie SP (PA.), Cook Forest area (Kalyumet, Campers Paradise, Clear Creek SP, Ridge SP), Hooking Hills SP (OH.), Salt Fork SP. (OH.),Paint Creek SP. (OH) on Paint Creek I viewed the pictures from Dave & Lori's IRV2 Photo album which look nice.

We already made our Labor Day plans to be in the Thousand Islands again...this time at Cedar Point SP with full hook up. We enjoyed it the first time there, 2nd time with the Piggies, so we are going for 3rd time. We may explore Watertown this time, and go boating. If anyone wants to drive up, please join us!

We're out for this one, too. That's family reunion weekend for a reunion that's been going on for 3 generations. Only death is supposed to keep one from attending.

I looked into the full service section of Mohican State Park. Sorry all full, fact the whole campground is full for the Labor Day Weekend. State Parks are going to be very hard for our group to get into for any holiday weekends. Now if we wanted to make it the following weekend (Sept 7-9)at Mohican, they have about 90% of their sites open including just about all their full service sites opens. Checking other Ohio State Parks including East Harbor, Salt Fork, West Branch all their full service sites are full. At Salt Fork 80% of their electric sites are still open. At East Harbor most of the electric sites are open. And at Hocking Hills 40% of the electric sites are open. Mike, you seem to know more about the private campgrounds in NE Ohio, What do you think...?Now that wouldn't be a bad idea to do a Sept IRV2 Mohican SP outing. Their full service section is nice. There all level and nice and deep.

We ended up going to Mohican last weekend....IT WAS last time for the year that they're not booked up in the full hook-up section. Man that place is busy!
Good fishing stream there as well!

Bigger rigs better watch out at Mohican; the layout is not conducive to parking if you have to back in....Their pull throughs are T-boned across the back-in sites.
