I am looking for campgrounds in the Springfield Missouri area. We will be going through there on June 24. Just an overnight stop in a place that can take big rigs.

This is highly recommended and is the site for the IRV2 rally for 2007 in July.

Thanks JC2 but we're not going to Branson. Wrong direction, we are going to Sedalia for a National Bounder Owners Rally.

Sorry about that. If you will be coming into Springfield from the west on I44 to 65 than north to Sedalia, here is a link to a KOA on the west side of Springfield that is just off of I44.

Thanks JC2 we will check it out. Are there anymore in the area you can think of? We will be taking 65 North to Sedalia the next morning.

Here is another just west of springfield off I44. FYI, Sedalia will be about 2-21/2 hrs north of Springfield on 65.

Actually the KOA on Hwy 44 (west side of town) is a very nice, friendly campground. It does accommodate big rigs but has gravel sites that are not bad at all. You can get 50 amp, sewer hook-ups, etc. Last time we stayed there they did not have wi-fi, but for just a night or two, didn't seem to matter. Very peaceful and quiet.
