A couple of us were thinking about going back to Tionesta for either Memorial Day or Labor Day next year. The reservation policy is 240 days so we could book Memorial Day in the next couple of weeks if that is the general consensus. We had looked at some sites there and thought the 98-110 sites were good. I have some marked for trailer and some for motorhome.
So who would be interested in going and which holiday?
Mike

This is freaky. You ask about making reservations for Tionesta and I just received an email saying:

NRRS™ Reservations for Forest Service and Corps of Engineers Facilities will not be available from September 30, 2007 through October 17, 2007.

Actually, either holiday is OK with us. They're so far into the future that it doesn't matter which is chosen.

Since we're already committed for Labor Day, Memorial Day for Tionesta is ok for us. Whatever the majority goes for, we'll be there for Memorial Day (Tionesta or otherwise). We could go back on site 70 like we had before - that fit us just fine.

I've had emails from some of the others and it looks like it will be Memorial Day. I think we can reserve on 9/26 but will be letting everyone know before that.

I would like to take this time to invite others to join us as well. We always enjoy new friends and if anyone would like to join in, please advise us and we can suggest a camp site to you so you can reserve once we are allowed.

Is anyone getting "ANN X E US" (anxious) for Cheetos (and the weekend) yet?

Sorry, I really wanted orange for the color but the pallate doesn't seem to offer it and the yellow lacks contrast with the background.

So far, no ingrown toenails, but then, there's 6 days to go before we leave.

Chris is taking Friday off, so maybe we can get there before dark for a change.

I'm ready to get out. I haven't had any Cheetos since last yr. We hope all the systems work since we haven't had any time to unwinterize/clean out the propane tubes/turn on the fridge...etc. We did run the genny under load & took the coach out for a half hour spin, a couple weeks ago, just to get the juices flowing in it.

I keep watching the Weather Channel &, so far, long range for Tionesta is temps in the mid 70's & either partly cloudy (20% or less rain) or sunny. Now we all know it can change greatly by then, but it looks great for now. Keep your fingers crossed.

Safe travels to everyone. I think check in is 4PM, so we'll be there close to that time.

I'm really looking forward to the weekend. It'll be nice to see the Pond Piggie gang again after a long Winter. I'm hoping to cut out of work a little early to see if we can leave as soon as the kids get home from school.

If we can believe any of the long term forecasts, it will be a dry weekend which will be a very welcome break from the last couple weeks of rain.

Bill,
I think you're on site 101.

That's the narrow one with all the overhanging tree limbs

Ok, but we might've eaten all the Cheetos by then.

Hey Joe, will you have your Campfire in a Can with you? I'm interested in seeing it. More & more CG's in OH aren't allowing firewood to be brought in. I'm not paying their outrageous prices for a small bundle of wet wood that's for sure.

Lori,

I'll have it with us. I need to get some better photographs of it too so it will be a good opportunity to do that. The only pictures I have are the cheesy ones of it on my back porch and with snow in the background.

No, No No.... Bill's site is the one with the "MUD". Even if he has a paved pad, I'm sure you can find some mud for Bill so he feels at home......Bill is this enough MUD for ya. Or how about this more mud.
