Can anyone tell me if Minnesota is going to close thier campgrounds because of budget problems? I heard they were if the budget didnt pass.

I read in the paper this AM that Minnesota will keep thier state parks open for the 4th of July weekend. After that, who knows.

Just found this on web site for MN DNR

Last week, Governor Pawlenty signed a bill passed by the Minnesota Legislature that approved funding for the Department of Natural Resources for the biennium. The approval of this budget means that Minnesota State Parks have the funding to remain open for the next two years.

Thank You! We have reservations at William Obrian state park for Lumberjack Days. We didnt want to have to find another park...
