moving to Minnesota

My family and I are thinking of moving back to Minnesota from Utah. Are there good camping sites in the Upper Midwest? I realize I'm moving from one of the best places in the US to camp but is it at least decent?

Really? Are you kidding? There are tons of good campgrounds here in Minnesooooota, or the land of Liberal Lakes.

What kind of camping do you desire? We have many State Park campgrounds as well as the BWCA. There are hundreds of campgrounds on lakes throughout the state as well.

Our only problem is the six month Winter!!!!!!!!!

We lived in Minnesota for 3 years and loved it but are between Colorado and Minnesota for job opportunities right now and we know Colorado has the camping and mountains. We werent a camping family when we living in Minnesota so arent familiar with the sites there. Which would you guys prefer for a younger family?

Well both have cold Winters so that's a toss up. Depends what you like to do as a family. Fish? Minnesota. Mountain climb, Colorado.

Minnesota has so many festivals in the Summer that its difficult to decide which ones to attend. Something going on every weekend all Summer.

BWCA is a great place to camp. Of course you cannot take an RV into the wilderness but there are lakes and campgrounds on the periphery that make it easy to do day trips with a canoe.

Check this one out.

We have a 30' trailer and are worried we wont get the same type of experiences in Minnesota that we could get in Colorado/Utah
