Anyone in the Joilet Illinois area thinking of taking their rig out to start the new year? Hollywood casino(The Old Empress) will have there RV park open with electric only. The dump is available w/o running water. We will be there if the weather is above freezing. Cant think of a better way to start the year

That's a wonderful idea!

Here at Myrtle Beach, the Polar Bears go diving into the Atlantic I believe on New Years Eve or day but they make it an annual event. Not to be missed ...

Have fun and I wish you a Happy and Healthy New Year!

Well New years Eve here in Illinois was in the 30's and we were in the coach. The Hollywood casino was more then accomodating. We pulled in mid afternoon on New years eve betting each other how many coaches were already going to be there. To our surprise we were the only ones there, but after a while 2 more showed for the night.. New year day waking up to deer running in the park was an awesome sight. Even our 2 collies thought it was kinda cool. Re-winterizing on Monday morning when it was 12 degs was a bit of a challenge, but well worth starting the year doing what we love the most. If you live doing waht you love, you are loving life. We figure if we get out once in Feburary that meens 12 months straight. Not bad for part timers
