F6 through F30 are pretty good, but get tight in spots. F49 through F43 are good sized, but back up to the playground area.

I think the best spots are F19 - F30 a little quieter. Some sites are more level than others.

Well that stinks, the picture does not include the numbers from the DNR site. Anyway that bottom loop on the section on the left is pretty decent.

F6-F30 can be tricky for leveling certain rigs and some are small like Bill said. Never stayed back in the loop(F19-30) but that would be ok. I think they only have an outhouse back there and not actual shower/toilet house if that makes a difference to anyone.

We've never been there, so you guys pick the area. Since it is not site specific, is this another one of the reservations where they just hold a site for you, then those sites are first come first served?

First one there gets to put a lawn chair on all the sites we need

Yea, Joe, all the reservation does is guarantee you a site, but not a specific one. The other thing I was thinking, is that they may not have all the area's open yet at that time of year. Last year, they only had the first couple of sections open and that didnt include section F. We will have to check into that maybe later this month or early March. We could probably get there early that Friday and set some sites back. So I dont see an issue att.

hello group,
Just signed a purchase order on a 05' Aerolite Cub trailer today. Should get it in a few weeks. Saltfork would be a good weekend trip. If Saltfork is too far for everyone, West Branch which is more centrally located, has been completely overhauled over the last 2 years. (New water, electric showerhouses, paved sites) They have some very nice "full service sites".
Hopefully I can get in a April "break-out" trip at a close by campground to get the bugs out of the new trailer.
Does anyone know of a company that sells trailer extension mirrors that slip / slide onto factory mirrors. I have seen them for Ford and Dodge trucks, but not for towing with a Toyota.

Well, we believe our RV is sold...will know in a few days (it is a long story)..but we may/may not be camping this year. We are looking at/kicking around maybe a pop up just so we dont have to give up camping altogether. Sorry, cant do tents (I give you alot of credit George). Will keep you posted.

Of course I we ordered the AC. She wouldn't have it any other way. We ordered it with their popular option package called Cub Camping pack with: AC, am/fm/cd radio, micro, TV antenna, awning, range with oven, bedlights / fans, double door frig, DSI gas / electric hot water, exterior hot & cold spray hose, safety glass. We have to go back to All-Seasons on Wed. to finish up the paper work.

Jim/Diane,

Congratulations on the new rig. Seems like you got it outfitted right. We'll forward to seeing it and the new tow vehicle next time we camp with you guys.

Congrats Jim. I'm sure you will be happy with the set up. PM me when you have a second with the specifics on the pop up that you have for sale.

Everyone,
At this time it appears we have Joe-k, Frank, Bill(hopefully), Jim, Anita and me going that weekend to Salt Fork. I just talked to Salt Fork and "normally" they only have area C open until the beginning of May. The area across from C that usually is open early is being renovated. The campground coordinator doesnt start working there until about the 3rd week of March. We will have a better idea then which areas may be open to us. The weather in April will also determine if they open other areas earlier than normal. If we find out the 3rd week of Mar or so that area C is the only one that will be open, then I would suggest us getting a reservation so at least the number of sites that we would need would be held back for us.
So lets plan on Salt Fork at this time and in mid March we can get a better idea if we need to reserve or not. Okay everyone?
