Alright lets get some outings on the calendar. It hard for me to throw down a date without a RV, but this date gives me a 3 week cushion for any delays. And actually I won't need that as long as the truck shows up on Feb 16th as it is scheduled as of last check this past Tuesday.

So where to go?

Bill

I'm READY.....to go camping anywhere. This Winter has been way too long. I can't believe we still have another couple months of cold. I'm all for the idea of getting that first trip on the calendar. Lets get some ideas.

Kinda would be nice to do a place that we have not done for at least a year.

Lock 30 - I don't think we did this place last year.

Kozy Rest - I didn't do this place, did any of you.

Tappan Lake Park - I haven't been there in a long time. GStream40 may help on this one.

Rose Point Campground

Indian Brave CG - Anyone have info on this place.

Salt Fork - Did it early last year, but always love this place. Maybe easier run for Dave & Lori

There is a few.

I thought Shenango River Lake would be nice but the campground doesn't open until the following weekend (Friday, May 6th). While I would thoroughly enjoy camping that weekend (being my birthday's the 7th), I'm not sure how that would sit with all the moms being that Mother's day is Sunday, the 8th.

Personally, I prefer a state park (with "leg tricity") when camping out of "prime" camping season. Why pay all that money at a private campground for amenities you can't use (i.e. pool)?

In PA, the only state park choices in Western PA are either Pymatuning or Raccoon Creek. Any other PA state parks with camping becomes a bit of a ride for some folks.

Hello:
Made reservations for Mohican SP (Ohio) July 17-24, Laurel Hill SP (Pa.) June 10-17 and West Branch SP (Ohio)June 17-19. We camped at West Branch in Oct 04. With the completion of the 2nd phase of upgrading & expansion it is very nice. They now have 4 brand new showerhouses, all roads and pads have been repaved, about 30 full service sites, 188 total sites. During the off-season reservations may not be needed, but during the summer they are a must. Bought a new Tow vehicle. Hopefully will be buying a Aero-lite Cub within a few weeks.

I like Franks idea for the early trip. A State Park with electricity would be fine for April if there is a convenient one for everyone. I havn't pulled a map, but on Bills list he mentioned Salt Fork. I've wanted to try going there sometime if it would work out for everyone.

I forgot to check with Debbie last night, but I think there is something going on on 4/30 with my grandson. Bill, do you think we could sked it for 4/22 or does that not leave you enough room for getting the new unit?

Actually, just got off the phone with Lonnie at Show Hauler and the 29th will probably be pushing it. Everything will hinge on when the truck leaves Quadra.

The guessing will be over at the end of the 3rd week of Feb. So if the weekend of the 22nd is better for everyone, don't hold things up for me. You know how things go when your really going crazy waiting for something to be delivered, it always shows up later than you had hoped.

Just got the update on birthdays, etc.
The weekend of 4/22 is no good. So we could still tentatively sked 4/29 as you originally suggested.
Then while we are thinking of these trips, could we consider the memorial weekend trip to somewhere pretty close to me so I can go to a birthday parth on the Sat. afternoon. Don't want to screw up an entire long weekend for one birthday party!!
Bill, Let's hope Quadra doesnt screw you up.

Need the pet section which I think is "F". On the state park web site, that falls under area 1. The lower section of that area is the best I think. Sites F32-F35 are good with some large grassy meeting areas there and the ones across from them, F17-F15 would be ok also. They dont have confirmed site reservations at that time of year. You can call or go on line and get a reservation but not for a specific site number. You do that when you get there. Probably would do the potluck on Sat. That always seems to be a hit.
