John,

Congratulations on the new rig. I love the choice in brands

In catching up on the thread a little, it looks like you did a great job in spec'ing it out and getting it ordered. ASRVS would have been our dealer as well, except at the time, a small local dealer who doesn't stock them was willing to order ours in.

Since your rig is 50 amp and with the 7.5kw generator, I presume you have two AC/heat pump units. Very good decision there.

If you want some pictures of your rig during construction, there are campers usually at the factory service center who are bored and more than happy to wander through the factory floor taking pictures of your rig under construction. When our went into production, I posted the build number on the tiffinrvnetwork and folks emailed me pictures of it being build almost every day It's pretty neat being able to see the construction pictures of your actual coach.

I assume, you've already seen this page, but for anyone unfamiliar with the Tiffin build process, the steps and dates listed on the order detail sheet is followed pretty closely in each of the buildings/departments at the Tiffin facility. The link below gives examples of a Phaeton going through the process.

Thanks Joe; Might just do that on TRVN.(For pictures)..That site has kept me busy for about 6 weeks now...There's a lot of info shared there.
As far as the heat pump; it is my understanding that it comes only on the front A/C. Which was OK for me. I haven't seen anywhere, that it was offered on the rear. We use a ceramic disc heater as well so we should be good.
I was kind of surprised that the coach we ordered had 2 furnaces (30K-BTU) In such a small space.
That should keep us toasty in the colder months....
My only disappointment in the whole coach as it was offered is the 6 Gal. HW tank. I wasn't blindsided by it as I had done my homework but we had 10 in our trailer and most other brands offered 10 Gal. standard. It obviously wasn't a deal breaker for us.
Guess I'll get used to shorter showers.
Overall though; very pleased with the design, use of space and the layout of the rig we ordered.
Time will tell (after a few months of use) if we remain enthralled with the Tiffin brand. I sure hope so;can't do this again for a while....

Who's that Joe-K guy posting here? Didn't his membership expire for lack of posting?

That is surprising about the HW tank, John. Wonder why Tiffin is so behind the times there. Many coaches now are coming with 16 gal tanks.
Oh well, just get you an Oxygenics showerhead & your 6 gal of hot water will last a lot longer.

Lori-

I don't know who that guy is

I do jump back on and the system doesn't like me. Just got the server error after typing for 15 minutes and getting the post wiped out.

John,
I was asking some more questions about your rig, but got to run now. I'll post later.

Certainly hope to camp with you guys again this Summer. These Sunlit Sands will look good side by side

Wwwwaahhhhhahahah! The changes I made to your account for being a negligent Pond Piggie worked.

It would be cool to see the 2 Tiffins parked side-by-side some campout. Hope we can make it work.

I'm sure we can make it work...I too would enjoy seeing the two side by side.
The Kia and the Rolls Royce of the Tiffin lineup.

Saw your sales lady (Wendy) at the RV show. She must be doing a good job because she has been there for many years. Just extended my service warranty on my tow vehicle, because of our indecision of what RV tt we want to move into.

John, You will know your getting close when you make a time / appointment for your walk-thru.

I know she has been there at least 8 years; All Seasons was the stop before the Akron Dealer we purchased from (Our Everest); wanted to see some Cedar Creeks at the time and they had none; so she showed us some other products they had that just didn't fill the bill.
That was Sept. 2004 and seems like an eternity ago.

As far as getting close; it can't be soon enough for me; I'm suffering from RV withdrawal...Our driveway seems empty without the 5ver and my old Silverado....My neighbors probaby think we're going broke....(had to sell everything)

John, I saw Wendy today while at All-Season "Electrical" seminar. I told her about your Order Status chart....you posted.

Every other Sat. they will have a seminar for the next 6 weeks covering different RVing systems. I think most of the people go for the free food.....

Did you buy a new coach from them?
Or ya still teasing them?

Somebody has to help get this economy rolling again....
Just think of that "New coach smell" Jim....Formaldehyde in the morning, you'll get on those first trips of the season....
And the fun it will be waking up in a totally new environment....

John,

With any luck, your rig will show up early at the dealer.
Tiffin always builds in about 2 weeks for the Paint and Final Finish group, but ours showed up at the dealer about halfway through that time.

Looking at that schedule, it could happen that you'd get a call from the dealer the end of next week or early the following to come take a look.

I hope I didn't bump up the anticipation level
