Does anyone in this group follow racing other than NASCAR? We are going to Eldora in April and would love to meet some of you there!

Are there NO Sprint car lovers out there? Come on, give it a try. Eldora is terrific. If you get there early, you can park in line before they open the gates for Motorhome parking. Then, when they do, you drive up the hill and are parked in the order you were lined up. Here is the cool part, "Motorhome Row" sits above the racetrack looking down on turns 1 and 2 with a view of the whole track. There is a huge sidewalk in front of the MHs where everyone sets up grills, chairs, etc. A truly great time for not a lot of money.

Eldora sounds like a neat place. I just visited their website and took a look around.
With all the other hobbies and things going on, it seems like we've never had a chance to go to a race.

I actually live about 10 miles from Learnerville Speedway (dirt track oval) and have for years been talking about going there for one of the local Friday night races or attending one of the twice a year World of Outlaw races. When the Outlaws come in I'm always checking out the motorhomes and truck conversions in the parking lots. Man, those are some serious money rigs.

Eldora does sound really neat, will have to check out their site....I'm with Joe-K concerning Lernerville. My wife's hometown and we lived there for seven years back in the 90's takin' care of her Mom.....Many Friday nights spent at Lernerville and even some WOO races. As a former career firefighter I volunteered up there with the Saxonburg VFD and got to get real close to some action....too close with all those cars out there sometimes.
Tjekkers, when I first started volunteering we were walking through the pits and I struck up a conversation with the fella....he was really nice and when we walked away my buddy says, "do you EVEN know who THAT was??? Nope I said....Sammy Swindell....couldn't have been nicer and that was when he was up there in the standings!

Hey tjekkers....by the way...WELCOME to iRV2!!
