The scenic route is decent road and is a pleasant drive. At least it was a couple of years ago.

I've used RT 30 many time heading west, a really great Americana route. It does continue in Indiana through some real Rockwell towns. Enjoy.

I agree that Rt 30 is a nice drive. I travel parts of it on the way to the factory.

It's settled then...I'll leave Scenic Hill and head that way to Nappanee.

Wish I was going that way myself. That's my old stomping ground and I get there just once every 5 years now for a reunion. I tried the Amish restaurants near Nappanee but they are all put to shame by the Dutch Vally Restaurant in nearby Sugarcreek. My niece recently offered to build me a home on their farm near Wooster. I was tempted until this years cold slapped me in the face and gave me a better thought - like stay south.

I would not worry about length issues on Ohio. Befor I bought my suburban, I called Ohio Highway patrol to discuss length limitations. According to seveal State Troopers, Ohio does not have any length restrictions for motorhomes, although you are limited to 1 trailer. The limits noted on the Ohio BMV website is for automobiles.

RT 30 is currently 2 lane from RT 23 (Upper Sandusky) to Rt. 235. The new road is under construction and will be completed by fall. You will not have any problem on Rt. 30. Flying J has lower priced fuel at I75 and Rt. 30 intersection.
Wave as you go past. Beautiful Elida, Ohio.
