Looks like yas got it to yourselves!
We'll be camping at a private club I belong to trying to stock up on fish for the winter! (Best fishing spot in NE Ohio I know of) Keep our pontoon boat there so it makes it convenient. (also only 15 mins from home)

We don't usually go out this late in the season but we had such a late start this year due to all our technicalities, we feel we need to make up for lost time. I talked to Chris this morning about going and we'll make a decision in the next day or so.

Any wineries nearby?

Frank-

Since you didn't get started until July, you'll need to be camping into the first of next year to REALLY make up for what you missed.

Yep: this one and here and here are a few within about 30 miles of Salt Fork SP. Raven's Glen sounds like a nice place to end up for dinner on a Sat. night. Good food & a glass or 2 of wine in the fall.....

You (and Dave) won't be alone any more. However, you have to put up with us for the weekend. We reserved G27. It was the only available FHU site left in the loop (based on using a 30' trailer for the search criteria).

Wow, the overall cost for camping has really gone up since we were there in April of 2005. Back then, we camped three nights for $77.00 but for this trip, it's $74.00 for only two nights.

...So many wineries ...So little time.

Yes, We like the idea of dinner at Raven's Glenn Saturday night. We looked over their menu. The prices seem reasonable. The twice baked three meaat lasagna sounds tempting. Let's go for it!

Yeah, I'm not happy about the rising prices either, especially since the recent demise of the discount club I talked about in another post. It's gonna take more $$ for us to camp at the OH state parks, at least until they implement a new frequent camper program.

I sent you an email last night about going to the Raven's Glenn Winery. However, I'm not sure if you received it. Am I possibly getting filtered out as SPAM? The email wasn't returned and I seem to receive your emails OK. Let me know if you need me to send a test email or resend the one I sent last night.

It was a great time. The weather cooperated except for being rather windy Friday night and Saturday. Had terrific Ribs at the Dancing Donkey Friday night and the trip to Raven's Glenn Winery on Saturday for wine tasting and dinner was supurb.

Since it was convenient (and the last trip out for the season) I winterized the TT at the CG before returning home. All I have to do with it before its underground winter vacation is unload all the kitchen/bathroom items and give it a good scrubbing outside (weather permitting).

Yea, weather-wise, couldnt have asked for much more for this time of year. This coming weekend is our last one out. Won't have the temps you guys did, but hopefully will be ok.

I Forgot to mention...

The campground was B-O-O-K-E-D!!! I couldn't believe it, but you'd have thought it was Labor Day or some other holiday weekend; not October 19th. I must have seen at least 20 RVs pass-by US-22 heading toward the park while having dinner at the Dancing Donkey. On Saturday, I was in the camp store just checking it out when one of the campers came up to the registration desk asking if he could move to another site. The clerk told him that there were only seven open campsites remaining in the entire park!

Yeah, it really was a great weekend. Since the leaves were near peak, the temps unseasonably warm with picture-perfect sunny days, it seems everyone was out taking advantage of the last of the great weather at the campground.

Good food, good friends & good weather for campfires - there's no better way to end the camping season.

Until we meet up again next spring...keep warm & see ya on the boards!
