Does no response mean nothing worth seeing or stopping for ??? Hope not. From this non-response, guess I will just cruise on thru to Denver area and the Rockies without delay along the way. Art

When I check my map of all the states that we've travelled in there's lots of them filled in, everything west of the Mississippi except for a big hole in Kansas. From Wisconsin there's just no reason for me to go through Kansas because it's not along any of the routes we normally travel when we head south of west.
I think that's going to be true for a lot of RVers. It's just not along one of the main corridors that are normally traveled. Then again, I've never heard of any major sites to see in Kansas so we never made it a point to go there. That doesn't mean it's note scenic, just an unknown factor for many.
You will love the Rockies though. If it was me, I'd just get to them as fast as possible, then back off and enjoy.

Last August, in travelling I-70 through Kansas, we arranged our schedule to stay two nights in Abilene, KS. The main reason was to visit the Eisenhower homestead and museum and burial chapel. It was very nice. Only the museum charges a minimal fee.
There is also a local history museum and Independent Telephone museum in town.
Look in a CG guide, there is an adequate CG on the south end of town.
Otherwise, keep rolling on through Kansas and be amazed, as we always are, at all the glorious wide open spaces in this country!
Enjoy the sights!

You might also check out Junction City, KS and/or Russell, KS both have a couple of decent campgrounds just off the Interstate. Junction City has Fort Riley which is one of the largest Army Bases in the midwest.

You got it Art. There really isn't anything between St Louis and Denver.

Now Now, There is a lot to see in Kansas, just not right on the Interstate. In Kansas City we just saw the Steamboat Arabia museum. Great story and fascinating collection.
If you want something a little more modern, stop in Hutchinson, KS (off the beaten track) and spend a day at the Cosmosphere. It is one amazing space museum which tells the story of rocketry and the space race from V1 to the Apollo program. Their artifacts and actual space craft are well worth the stop.
There is a nice little campground in Paxico, KS. Near the railroad, but kind of charming.
And there is a cheeeeeap one just south of the Interstate in Burlington, KS. Not charming but cheeeeap.

There is a lot to see in St. Louis. Don't miss the Arch, the world-class zoo, science center and planetarium. There is an RV park just north of downtown St. Louis. It is all asphalt but a convenient location for sight seeing. In Independence, Missouri, (near Kansas City) you have Truman's home and the Truman's residential Libary, well worth the time.

I made the trip you are about to take a few years ago. We came up from Atlanta and stayed at the Casino campground on the Illinois side of St. Louis. Hotter than blue blazes on that asphalt campground but seeing the sights in St. Louis was great.
Our next leg was from St. Louis to Russelville, KS. The campground was right off of I-70, very easy access. It was a long drive so we just barely got set up before it got dark. The campground was okay for our one-nighter but it is not what you would call a "destination" campground.
The next day we traveled from Russelville to Colorado Springs and parked at The Garden of the Gods campground (advance reservations required). Once in Colorado we went into things-to-do-overload.
