The Piggies are going alittle south for a long weekend from 8/16-8/19 at Briar Point

We are on sites 21-24. At the time of this posting, they had sites 25-29 available. These are 30A full hookup. I have never been here but hear it is very nice.

If ya go under one of my aliases (stewarl) in the Photo section, I posted several pics of Stonewall & Briarpoint. The shelter is the one that's behind our sites (there's no one behind our sites in that loop) & the playground set is the one in our loop. The pics of our 5-r was us in site 19 - typical of the layout of the pad area of all the sites there.

I'm sure that there are many things to see at Stonewall, but if you run out... New River Gorge is not too far South at Fayetteville WV on US19. And if you really want to see an interesting sight, there is the abandoned mining town of Thurmond. To get to Thurmond, you have to go Glen Jean, and follow the signs to Thurmond. "Main St" is the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad. Amtrak still has passenger service to Thurmond and the Thurmond Station is a museum depicting the historical significance of Thrumond. You can walk "Main St" safely away from the active rail line, and veiw the First National Bank of Thurmond, the Thurmond Hotel, and other buildings still standing.

We're going to try to make this one as well....Jan's mom lives in Clarksburg so it's be a quick trip for a visit....just have to verify work schedule tomorrow. Looks like a beautiful place!
