Are any of you Pond Piggies planning on going to Tionesta in August 2009?
We will be there Aug 5 thru 10...if we can get a reservation within the 6 month restriction.

It's a possibility Ted. We need to start getting some weekends planned for next Summer due to the 6 month reservation window on some of the parks, but August is a little tough.
My oldest son starts college next fall and I'm not sure what we'll run into regarding orientations, or visits, etc., associated with that. I may just book my weekends then if anything interferes just cancel the necessary reservations.

Flytyer, I'll keep you and Aug 5-10 in mind. Similar to Joe, I too have to wait for some dates to be confirmed before I can schedule that week to camp.

What is the going rate for their full service sites next year. If I remember right 2 years ago when the IRV group was there it was $25 per night. We'll be at Kettle Creek State Park east of you Aug 6th - 13th and then we'll move over to Cook Forest the 13th - 20th. which is only 20 minutes east on route 36. I still have 3 more days I want to add onto the end of that trip to go shopping at Grove City Outlet mall. I have not decided where those 3 days will be. George do you rent campsites in your yard ???

When I checked a few days ago the Fed Campground rates were $25 for a full hook-up. If you have a Golden Pass it is $12.50.

WOW this is a great rate for a full service site. Let's not tell anyone in the Govt. about this otherwise they will raise it. Last time there with the IRV outing I penciled down a few river front sites I liked. If it was only closer to that Grove City Outlet Mall that would have been a good deal to close out my Aug. vacation. To bad for me it's just a little to far coming from the Cleveland area for a weekend.
