We were talking about West Branch not having all their sites open till Monday May 17th. I called this past Wed and there were 4 sites left for this weekend. I was able to get a site I have on my preferred list. I asked the girl at the WB office why with the park just about full for the coming weekend they didn't open up more loops. She said they didn't want to over-load the water pumps in pressurizing the system. She said every time they open up more shower buildings it put added work on the pumps to get the pressure up... Hog-wash.....

I think it is really all about man power. You can't go to WB in the spring without a reservation. So this evening I'll watch all the rigs turn around because they thought or assumed the whole park would be open. They do have about 12 non-reservable sites, but those are all very un-level. I'll get a good laugh seeing how people block up their trailers......in those sites. It's our tax dollars at work....

Even if they opened the extra loops, but told the people there were no washrooms open in those loops, I think most people could live by that. Look it's only 2 weeks till Memorial Day Weekend.

When we were there last week; the water pressure was REAL low! So bad in fact, I filled my tank and used the trailer pump for showers and with the Oxygenics shower head it was really good!
Their pressure has always been low, but this year it seems worse for some reason. Me thinks they are so short staffed they don't want to open up anymore then they already have because it will overwhelm the staff. I know this was the first time we were there that the grass was a mess as well! Heard someone say that only one guy is doing ALL the mowing now. Cutbacks?? It seemed to me they had a crew that took care of the landscaping before....times; they are a changin...

We'll when we arrive at about 3pm on Friday, they had indeed opened up the whole park. They must have done that on Friday morning. By late Friday the park was 80% full, come Sat. morning it was 90% full. It was a very nice weekend........The water pressure seemed fine. To fill up my 46 gallon fresh water tank took about 5-10 minutes. The showers there are the low-flow / water saving heads. Talked to a few other campers who said they had called Thursday because the website said the park was full and only half open. So, late Thur. or Fri. morning the state of Ohio must have dug into their reserve fund to turn the water spigot's on for the other 2 loops.
