Mike and Colleen -
Thanks for the well wishes and we hope you had a great Thanksgiving as well. Life just doesn't get any better than this...we're in the Texas Hill Country at Fredericksburg (many from the 04 National will remember this quaint German town) and will head down to Boerne to have our Christmas rally. Wish ya'll could be here with us to enjoy!

Hi folks,
I was browsing what to do in Boerne this weekend, and hit the jackpot. There are all kinds of goings on from Dickins on the Main to Christmas craft shows, to German Heritage parades, etc.
Go look at:

Sandy, thanks once again for an outstanding job. I'm not sure everyone realizes all the preparation and hard work you put into each and every rally. Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.

As always, when the Texas Boomers get together we create memories and the 2008 Christmas Rally added to them.
A note of thanks go out to many who helped to make the event festive - even without a Christmas tree! But, on the other hand, not many folks can enjoy a giant Christmas bird!!!
The food and the fun with the gift exchange comes with the package and, as usual, we outdid ourselves with both! The festivities at the campground as well as in town helped all the more to make it special.
Getting together with friends is a GIFT. It's better than any wrapped item under the tree and certainly more long-lasting. Memories made by the campfire or over dinner are the ones that last a life time and I cherish each memory.
To each, we wish you a Christmas season filled with many blessings. Be safe in all your travels and come make new memories as soon as you can!
always
Sandy and Rusty

Just wanted to say "Thanks" to Sandy and everyone envolved with making it a great
Christmas Rally for us and the twins. They
really, really enjoyed being Santa's Helpers.
They also enjoyed every Boomer in the group. Connor said he wished Mrs. Boomer lived next door to them. When we got them home, they immediately told their daddy all about the
trip. Sooo, see ya'll next rally and everyone
have a great Christmas with your loved ones.

Susan and I went to River Walk and did the boat ride after dark with all of the lights on Sunday night. Had dinner on the side walk and watched people. It was beautiful.
We had a great time with everyone and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.

Ken, isn't the RiverWalk beautiful at Christmas time? I'm so glad you and Susan were able to go.
Richard and I were there last week on a nice warm evening and had dinner outside, enjoying the whole atmosphere.
Sandy, thank you once again for all that you do to ensure that each and every one of us has a wonderful time at the rallies.
We are so grateful to have you as our Madame and as our FRIEND.
Boomers, it was too short, but we just loved every minute we had together.
(rupps-we missed you!)
A Blessed Christmas to everyone.

Gary and Sue -
I'm so glad the boys had a great time! It's always difficult to keep children occupied during an "adult event" like the gift exchange, but they love to be Santa's helpers and it's a neat way to make them feel they are a part of the fun.
I just HAVE TO TELL YOU this. I laughed so hard that night during the gift exchange. I honestly don't remember which one made the statement, but here's the jest of the conversation:
Boy: How long are we going to be up here?
Sandy: Well, it takes a while to go through all the names and everyone has to have a chance to exchange their gift.
Boy: Why does it take so long to give their gift to someone else.
Sandy: We're having fun and they are slow to make up their mind which gift they want to exchange.
Boy: I thought it was because they were old.
Oh, the insight, innocense and honesty of young ones!
Sandy

Everyone above has said what I wanted to say. Madame Boomer orchestrated a fantastic weekend for us. It was hard for me to get there, but it was certainly worth all the effort. I had a wonderful time and can't wait for next year's celebration.

First of all, thanks to Sandy and to everyone that was in Boerne for my "mini" retirement party. I hope that all will be able to come to Rayford for the "real" party in March.
Ricky and Dee & Stella and I went to Fredericksburg on Sunday to shop. It was also Pearl Harbor day, so we got to see the flyover by four F-14 jets as well as many WW II fighters and bombers. It was very impressive to see all those old warbirds that have been kept up so well still flying. If you get a chance, it is well worth the trip to see this sight.
Sunday night we went to Marble Falls and Johnson city for their light displays, which were wonderful. Another worthy trip.
