Heinz,
It is a real shock to fill up the diesel now...$100 bill won't do it now....38 gallon tank and $3.89.9 per gallon for fuel.
$149.00 if I am bone dry....OUCH.
Mama may have to get her a second job sweping floors or something.
Ken

Hey Ken, multiply that times 8, that's how many fillup's I have to have when we go to family reunion in New Mexico. Told Charley we may have to cut back to every other year at these prices and at the rate they are going we may have to park the truck completely and just put a couple of rockers on the porch.

I topped up the tank Saturday in preparation for heading out for the Texas Boomers Easter rally this Friday. It was over $50 for a little over 12 gallons of fuel - $3.999/gallon!
At this rate, we'll be tent camping off my BMW motorcycle before long. 46 MPG is looking pretty good!

Already have a pair of rockers on the back porch. Think I'll take the shotgun out there, kick back and have some SKEETer practice to kill the time.
I was "sort of kiddin" Susan this past weekend that we may be looking for a Priuys and one of the scooter-pull type pop up trailers. Beas sitting home.
Rusty, a Texaco on N Eldridge still had diesel for $3.859 this morning....

Ken, Judy and I saw one of those scooter-pull type pop ups at Tyler State Park two weeks ago. Actually, it was pulled by a Gold Wing and I was surprised how big it was when it was set up. I sure wouldn't have wanted to be in one in a good rain/wind storm, however. The interesting part was that a couple showed up with it and 16 of their closest friends, kids and dogs joined them on the site that evening. I thought sure that we were going to have to have a discussion before the evening was out but they managed to keep it down to a reasonable level.
For a change, we are going to have one of the shortest trips to a Rally (about 60 miles one way to Thackerville). We already paid our "diesel dues" going to Boerne.

I don't know Don, you know the last time this group got together there was a lot of going's on that made Madame Boomer almost lose her mind.
Remember
I hope she decides to come up this year to make sure that nothing like this ever happens again. The next thing you know the DILLO will be out in force again.
