Jay,
Just returned home from a week of vacation at Ink's Lake SP in the Hill Country, and checked the posting for the 4th. I assume that we are all on our own for meals or is there a meal sign up that I have not found???? Looking forward to getting to see everyone again.

Good morning all,
Congratulations to Dutch and Sandy for 40 years of marriage.

Eddie, you're right, we're on our own for food. There are many restaurants in the area with about any kind of food imaginable, or we can put something together on the spur of the moment.

We can't wait for the weekend either.....gonna be good to get away for a long weekend and to see everyone!

WoW - a boomer rally without a pot luck dinner or breakfast - that'll be a first.

Congrats Sandy and Dutch for 40 years together and have a great trip.

Guess Me N Cricket will just have to open a can of beans.

Which one of those Woodylander's shopping malls has the canal ? Does it have some of the the eating places ?
The pictures I saw of it, somewhere on the web, looked like it would be a good place to sit and contemplate the after effects of a good, filling meal.
And, congratulations on the 40th. We had ours on
June 18th and had all the family up for a bar-b-que and had a great time.
See ya later,
gary and sue

Gary and Sue, Yes The Woodlands does have a waterway with boats. It's kind of a boat ride to nowhere but relaxing. There are many, many restaurants in the area surrounding it. Check with me over the weekend and I'll steer yyou to the really good ones.

Yep Don, this is a normal thing for us to not have a potluck meal. The cooks all seem to appreciate not having to bring food to prepare for the group. Of course, we put things together at the last minute sometimes, and we often go out for donuts for the group for breakfast.

I think we need to make Ted and Donna the official guides for the Woodlands. They know everything in the area and can give good recommendations on restaurants.

Definitely check with Donna regarding The Woodlands! She is the BEST at knowing what to do and where to go there -- in fact, she's my "financial planner" (Donna, my reinvestment just bought 3 more stocks! I'm RICH!!)!

See ya'll on Saturday....after our LOOOONG move to Brenham Weds, Thurs, & Fri. We'll need a STIFF one to wind-down!!

Hey Jay,
Are you going to post a sing up list for meals?

Charlotte,
Nope, no sign up list, especially at this late date. We don't usually do any potluck dinners, but many times have eaten together in someone'e rig.

Of course, David being the master chef (he does kind of look like a Polish Emeril) is welcome to make any dish he wants to share with us.
