Not to hijack the Labor Day rally thread here is a alternate site. It is a private ranch (Bluf Trails) in Ingram, TX (just outside Kerrville, TX) and only caters to club rallies. It is set back of the hwy and is very secluded. It has a huge rally hall and separate cook house. They can handle all of are needs. There are 2 problems:
1) Location. It may be a long pull some of you.
2) Power - 30 amp only

Dale,

30 amp power on Labor Day weekend in Texas certainly would be a problem. I can't imagine why they would scrimp on electrical hookups when they did such a good job with the other stuff. On the other hand, it might be a good location for a winter/cool weather rally.

I agree with Rusty....I would not think most folks would like to do 30A in the heat of summer....I know I wouldn't.

Seems weird they only made the sites 30A and it'd definitely make me consider such a locale in the late fall, if even then.

A very picturesque locale....what a shame.

Great looking place, but gotta have 50a for both ACs in the heat.

Dale -

I have those same photos in my file from when you emailed them to me this past year. The place looks awesome and Ingram isn't any further than Kerrville...what? 5 miles maybe.

The ONLY problem I see with this location is the 30 amp sites only. Like the others have said, this would make a great park to visit during the cooler months....let me see....when are our cooler months..

September is the time of year when I begin booking rallies for the following year. Believe it or not, some RV parks like two years advanced notice!

Normally, I organize 5 rallies a year (sometimes 6) around the holidays: Easter, Memorial Day, Labor Day, the OctoberFest and Christmas rallies.

This might be a possible location for the OctoberFest or maybe even the Christmas Rally, but I would like to take a poll of the Boomers to get their thoughts on 30 amps sites before actually booking it!

We camp all the time on 30 amp and have no problems, that is all our 5er has. Of course I'm a little different then most, I like it hot, can't stand the cold.

Yes Sandy Bluff Trails is just outside of Kerrville.

I will double check the 30 amp situation.

That sounds like a great idea Dale! I would appreciate any updated information you can gather up for me.

I was thinking this afternoon about this place. The OctoberFest and Christmas Rally are both schedule on NON-holiday weekends, which means those of us still working do not have an extra travel day for those two events.

Kerrville might be a little far for those up north and east - very convenient for those closer to the Hill Country though.

Hopefully they've added 50 amp service this year which would put that RV Park in better standing for a Spring or Summer time rally.

Sandy

Even if it had 50 amps, it is a bit tree challenged for any summer events.

Wow this RV Park looks great! We love the serenity of it all and the Texas Hill Country. Best of all there are trees and no concrete with all of the other amenities! We too have 50 amp service, however, if we turn off the elec. water heater we can still run both A/C's with 30 amp service. We would love to visit this RV park for a Boomer Rally!
