Does anyone have any idea why, except that is is part of the Class C routine? Also, I was told to study the CDL book, section 14. There is nothing on there about a motorhome. I agree on the signs, rules, etc., but in hindsight shouldn't the state in requiring us to have additional licenses requirements, have created a section for RV's and rules, and a driving test for RV's instead of 18 wheelers?
I have parallel parked my 37 ft Bounder. The only RV space in Moab when we arrived was in a park south of town and the only space they had required me to parallel park, not really that hard.

Pretty tough for me to do, as pretty much any time my coach is moving, it has a toad 4 wheels on the ground attached!

To me the issue is why did the state do something without finishing it? It isnt complex to create a written and driving test that fits the uniqueness of an rv. The idea that driving an RV 'needs' a special license after 80 years of not requiring that license, should also result in a specialized written and driving test or it is just a farce. But, I do realize it is a federal dictate.
