Jim, Last time we were out there we stayed at the campground in Lajitas which is between Big Bend National park and Big Bend State Park. Nice town with some good restraunts and shops. This was back in 2001 and the campgrounds in Big Bend did not take reservations, only first come first served. We did not want to chance not have a campsite, so we stayed in Lajitas and would most likely do so again.
