I just learned that one of our members, Bernest Currey fell out of a tree over the weekend while doing hurricane repairs. He broke his arm in three places, has two cracked vertabrae and other injuries. He is at Ben Taub hospital waiting for surgery.
Please keep Bernest and Pauleen in our thoughts and prayers.

Jay,
Please give Bernest our best wishes and keep us updated on his condition. Is he experiencing any paralysis from the broken vertebrae - that sounds like it could be the more serious of the injuries.

We need an update on Bernest! Please let us know if you've seen him - did he have surgery? Also let Pauleen know we're here to help if she needs us on this side town!

I've got more news on Bernest. He had surgery on his arm last Tuesday. A pin was put in his arm which was broken in three places and a plate was put in his wrist which was also broken. The vertabrae that were thought to be broken were actually just injured not broken.
He was released from the hospital yesterday but had to be brought back to another hospital near their home with a blood pressure problem.

Burnest,
Hang in there. I know Pauline is taking good care of you. If you both need anything, call me on my cell phone. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Time will heal, take one day at a time. Take care of yourself and God bless you both.

We hope Bernest is continuing to improve and hope the blood pressure is under control.
