Dear Jerry and Theresa,
Enjoyed reading your heartfelt sentiments.
Brrr...it's cold here in Texas, also. Not what we are used to at this time of the year in San Antonio, but it's nice to have a wintry Christmas season...for a little while, at least. Weather is supposed to be nice again by Sunday.
Merry Christmas to your family (and have fun with the grandkids)
May all the traveling RV'ers stay safe and cozy.
A joyous holiday season to all!

Its 68 degrees out today in S Texas ---- oh, no! I just read the indoor temp -- outdoor is 33! Rats!! I'm easily confused as some of you know.

No grandkids coming over - just us and the dogs. Will enjoy Christmas dinner here in the RV park along with all the "Winter Texans"

I've signed up for three rally's next year (2 in PA; one in KS)=== that is what keeps me warm -- looking forward to future RVing and trips.!!!

Like Willie Nelson says in one of his songs "On the road again, just can't wait to get on the road again"...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all forum folks...

Just a quick note to try and cheer you folks up down there. I understand it's been a tad fresh this past week but maybe hearing from a canadian snowbound fellow RV'r who is stuck here undergoing some continuing dental procedures before he can saddle up and head south for the remainder of the winter will take the sting out of the cool. This week started out with -24 degree celsius (-11.2 F) with wind chill factoring it actually behaved like -40 F. Frostbite in minutes if uncovered. Our huskies rode inside the sled with the seat heaters on. The penguins were wearing fleece lined tuxedoes. We lynched 3 refrigerator salesmen. I had to light a fire under the snowblower just to get to the mailbox. Merry Xmas everyone!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

Jerry and Theresa - we're glad you logged on and said hello to everyone! I look forward to the day I can meet you in person too! The best thing about irv2.com is that you have friends all over the country!

Bstark - it's a mite warmer down here than it is where you're at! Do hope you get everything settled soon and can head SOUTH!

For the first time in 15 years (they say) we had snow on the ground in Houston! Of course it doesn't impress me much because I lived in Ohio for 22 years!

I was in Wal-Mart yesterday morning and the lady came over the loudspeaker saying "it's snowing! it's snowing!" and more than half the people in the store rushed toward the front door to see it! I laughed....and grabbed all the bargains while everyone else was kicking, biting and screaming to get to the front of the store to see the snow! Ha! I shoveled enough of THAT STUFF in Ohio all those years...if I never saw another snowflake in my life I'd be happy!

Where ever you are - whatever you are doing - be thankful that you have family and friends to share your life with you! Stay safe and warm!

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all our friends across the land!

Sandy

Dear all,

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. It was very cold here in Alvin, TX and God gave us a beautiful landscape to enjoy on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Most of us seasoned South Texans have never had a white Christmas. I have never had one in my life time at the ripe old age of 42 and I will be amazed if we are provided with such a wonderful Christmas in the future. I know many of you have lived in the snow and never wish to see it again however, us born and raised South Texans were wonderfully delighted to have our first WHITE Christmas.

Larry and hope each of you have a wonderfully happy and prosperous New Year. We look forward to attending future Texas Boomers Rally's and meeting many new friends in the year to come!

Madame Boomer, I am so excited I purchased my first Pink Flamingo's for our future rally's!

Hope to see you all soon!

Jodi -

YOU GO GIRL! I'm proud of you! I can't wait to see the beginning of your pink flock! you've got the bug and no doubt the flock will continue to grow!

We couldn't believe the photos we were seeing before we left Christmas Day of all the snow you had down "south" in Alvin! It was indeed an amazing site to see people on the beach in Galveston building snowmen instead of sand castles!

Jerry, we left for Houston on 12-23 and just made it back today. Went al the way to Houston to get snowed on....

Had a great time and met up with some of the Texas Boomers and just kicked back.

We are going to plan a unplanned rally in the area north-north east of Dallas, sort of a 1/2 way between Houston and NE OK. We'll post later and see if we can make a party of it.
