I've been seeing the promos for a new movie called "<span class="ev_code_RED">RV</span>" starring Robin Williams that will be in theatres this weekend (I think). Have ya'll seen them?

The storyline is probably going to be something very akin to VACATION with Chevy Chase ...everything imaginable that could go wrong on a vacation did go wrong. No doubt there will be a lot of laughs from Robin Williams...who can't laugh at his antics!

The newspaper reviews of <span class="ev_code_RED">RV</span>
do not predict it to an Oscar winning performance by any of the characters! And it might turn out to be a fun movie to watch.

My thought is....how many people are going to watch it and think THAT is what RV'ing is all about!!! Or worse yet they'll think that's how you're supposed to drive an RV!!!!

Post your commments if you go see it!! Will it promote the RV'ing life or ruin it for all of us!!!

I saw this movie over the weekend and thought it was a hoot! Not sure if I liked the way they portrayed RVers and campgrounds, though...

Hey nice lady!!!

Retired??? I never worked so hard and long when I was a bluesuiter as I do as a civilian. "The Man" keeps me pretty busy these days. Work, along with building a new house up in Blanco, is putting a serious dent in my camping time. I haven't had my rig out since Jan. I am, however, planning a quick overnighter to Kerrville over Memorial Day. Just hope the Beast is up to it after sitting for 5 months...

We'll hook up one of these days!!

We saw the movie yesterday and could not stop laughing, but they did make most RVers look like redneck hillbillys. but it is a very funny movie.

That's what I was afraid of! I'm sure it was funny - anything Robin Williams just has to be! I'll probably rent it when it comes out at Blockbuster! It's a hoot - may become an icon like Desi and Lucy's LONG LONG TRAILER did back in the 70's? 80's...depicting the wonderful life of RV'ing. Oh my how things have changed!

What about the '70s movie "Race with the Devil" with Loretta Swit, Warren Oats, Peter Fonda and Lara Parker out on the maiden voyage in their new 1975 Vogue motorhome? That's the one that got me interested in motorhomes, and I think about that movie every time I boondock!!
