Hi guys, it's been a long time. We have been gone since late May and are currently in Whitehorse Yukon Territory. We have been through Alaska and are gradually heading home. The Good Sam caravan we are on lasts until Aug 1.

I have posted a few pictures of our trip on line and they can be accessed here. They are posted in reverse order so go to the highest number page first. If you click on "slideshow" you won't see the captions that tell you what the pictures are.

I am about a week behind so there will be that many more pics in a few weeks. Looking forward to getting home to Houston in late August. Dutch

Your pix are GREAT. Who is the great photographer?

What river did you raft, OMG those flowers are SPECTACULAR and I hope to heck you shot that "mama moose" with a telephoto. I don't want to be anywhere near those big mamas & babies. LOL

Dutch and Sandy, your pix are great! I recognized a few of the places we visited while there. Didn't see near as many beautiful flowers as you did. Thanks for sharing. See you along the trails.

Hey rivercat,
I take the still pictures and Sandy takes the video. I am going to try to make at least one good DVD when we get home using both stills and video. I bought the video editing software but haven't had time to use it. My camera is a Cannon EOS Rebel XT, and yes I have a telephoto lens. I then optimize the pictures with Adobe Photoshop Elements. You know the story about blind squirrels and acorns, well I have taken about 4,000 pictures, so some of them had to turn out OK. More pictures later. We have been having horrible luck getting goo WiFi. It took me 3 hours to upload those pictures, and where we are now, I can't do it at all, unless I want to stay up all night. Dutch

Your pictures are wonderful! I can only imagine what great memories you will have of the trip.

What causes the blue ice?

Dutch and Sandy, yall are a couple of turkeys. Here us "Po folk" that are not retired are still having to work and can only DREAM of the trip yall are on right now.

Those are some fine pictures of a wonderful area. Makes me drool with anticipation to make such a trip someday. And of course ya really had to and take all the shots of the fishing trip. The one of you "Thinkin" looked like what I would probably be doing on the way back too.

Good to see folks making a trip that they have planned/wanted to do for a long time.

Yall be sure to post more about the trip when you can. It gives us "Po workin folk" more to dream about.

Catch Yall Later,

Don
