Tom,
Sorry I didn't see your post till now, you have probably found something already. But I own a 1989 Foretravel Grand Villa, that I can give you some history on that could help you decide on a foretravel or not. I get about 10mpg at 65/70mph with a 3208 Catapillar eng. The interior has held together nicely and no rattles or squeeks going down the road. I have had to replace the rear brakes at $800 at 132,000 miles and I need a muffler at the moment. I had to put new gaskets in the fuel controler at 126,000 miles cost about $200. And of course new tires every 6 years or so. No blow outs so far. You don't get quickly fatigued driving one, they handle well, even in high winds with the sloped front end. If you get the bus style with the flat front the gas milage goes down a bit. The unihome series was good from 1990 to 1994 with several floor plans from 32ft to 40ft.
You can email me, or pm me here if I can help you out any.
Lee
