I must part with my sweet budgie, Sunshine.

Jim and I are going to take an extended trip to the east coast and visit friends along the way. The only pet we travel with is our dog, Zoe. I've been unable to find anyone who would "babysit" Sunshine for me while we're gone. Also, we plan on traveling a bit more, so we'd be in the same situation repeatedly. Therefore, it's probably best for Sunshine if she found a good home.

She's 3 years old, solid bright yellow with red eyes. She comes complete with a large white cage that has a seed guard skirting & bird protector, toys, perches, cuttlebone, food, and blanket for covering her cage at night.

She's a sweet, quiet bird...not a squawker. In fact, she cheeps like a chicken!! Whenever she does start chirping, it's usually because she's hungry! Her wings haven't been clipped since I bought her 3 years ago, so taking her out of her cage is not recommended; she was never physically handled, so she's not used to that either. She and I just "talk" & whistle through the cage.

My bird was my 3rd grade's classroom pet. I would let one of my students take her home (cage and all) for the weekend. It was a lesson in responsibility.

If anyone is interested in adopting her, or knows of a family that would be GOOD to and for her, please let me know ASAP.

We live in Brenham; we're leaving for our east coast trip on October 10th -- Sunshine needs to be in her new environment before then.

Glad Sunshine has a new home and you have one less entanglement to keep you off the road. Now there's the matter of that cat ... I know Zoe is safe.
