Pat, My Brother from TN and I weathered out a big storm at Mustang Island State Park near Corpus last exvening after spending 3 great days there. Took Pat to a wonderfuls buffet at the CC Greayhound Track for Mothers Day. The puppies weren't too kind to us but we had a great time anyway.

We moved on to to South Padre this morning and are hooked up in a absolutely beautiful park here - Destinations RV Resort.
Was planning to stay 3 days but it is so nice here we may have to extend those plans.

Was outta internet range at CC but have wifi here so we are back into the net.

We like Padre also..have a great time. Can't think of the name but there is a seafood place that we enjoy on the right just as you come off the bridge from the island.

Don,
The restaurant that Hamie is talking about is called Pirate's Landing in Port Isabel. It is right at the base of the causeway bridge.

On SPI, you might try Louie's Backyard or Blackbeard's. They are both very good and not too bad on pricing.

Thanks for the info guys. The locals pointed us to Louies Backyard here on the island for a seafood buffet. It was great and we were entertained with a great band on the terrace after dinner. We stayed over another night and are headed out this am for my Sister's place on Magnolia Beach in Pt LaVaca. Hate to give up the wi fi but will be back home on Sunday and back in touch.

PS: Cricket had a great time helping Pat dig up shells on the beach.
